Underwhelming
There are only 6 projects included in this book, most of which require very specific parts from very specific devices.

High quality print
Tactile or Soft Paper, like a hard-backed version of a No Starch Press book, with high quality color prints and easy to follow projects guides. This is a great way to have a tangible reference to Daniel's most popular builds. It is also a good way to support his work and to encourage him to do more like this. If you don't know Daniel's work check out his YouTube channel "Tinkernut" were he has tutorials of the builds featured in his book.* I am in no way associated with Daniel Davis nor the Tinkernut brand. These opinions are my own. I have been a Tinkernut subscriber for many years and I have gotten a lot out of his YouTube channel. I am happy that he has released a book that I could buy as a way to say "Thank you for all of your work".

Keep it up Tinkernut
Bought the book to support the cause. The book continues the good information and ideas for using old products or technology in interesting ways.Keep up the good work.

Liked the book!
This was written in such a great way that its a pleasure to read, and contains the best projects that Tinkernut made so far from his YouTube channel. All I have to say is you've done a great job and congrats for turning the idea of writing a book into a reality!

Mildly disappointing
Despite being a 144 page book, there are only actually six projects in this book, most of which are fairly niche. Two of them require purchasing specific equipment which really isn't the kind of stuff you'd just have lying around. Most of them require other small bits of scrap electronics salvaged from somewhere else. The smartwatch is fairly basic and really ugly, it's a fun project, not a workable smartwatch. For the benefit of future purchasers, this will teach you to make (large extra items required in brackets)A reversing/parking camera from an old webcam and an old mobile phone.A reasonably poor quality projector out of a laptop (old-style projector required)A low-quality 3D printer out of a CD drive (Raspberry Pi and 3D pen required)Smartphone security cameraiPod with larger storage capacity.Old feature phone to smartwatch (Arduino required)Overall, I was fairly disappointed. For what's in there, the guides are clear, and illustrated, but I really thought that there would be more. I was excited when I pre-ordered this, waiting for it to come out, but when it arrived, I couldn't help but think "is that it?". Returned for a full refund. If you've found this helpful, please hit the helpful button for future reviewers!

Not as good as expected
Purchased this as his YouTube channel is good with lots of projects, trouble is the few projects that are in the book are also on his YouTube channel so I wasted my money. Was hoping for something new.

not worth the money
Bought as a gift for my husband, and he was quite disappointed in it. The projects involved buying lots of stuff, and there were very few projects, just lots of pictures and blank pages (presumably for adding your own notes). All in all not a great book.
