Barbie Island Princess Rosella Karaoke Styling Head

I bought this toy for my 3 year old granddaughter. She loves it & wants to watch the movie along with it everyday. It seems to be made durably.She likes to sing with it too. Also a friend that is about 10 likes it as well.

As other reviews have said, the styling head is very loud, with no volume control. My daughter is 5 and does really enjoy playing with it though. She only wanted two or three things for Christmas and this was one of them. Since Amazon had it cheaper than other places and offered free shipping, we got it.

I was really happy to find this styling head as my six year old daughter had one on her wishlist for Christmas, and she already knew the Rosella story from the dvd and her Rosella Barbie doll. But I am so disappointed! And also my girl: the heads' hair looked liked a toddler already treated it with a scissor, it's hardly brushable because it's not smooth but felted and intractable. The caraoke feature: when the head is singing, the lower jaw is moving that noisy that one can hardly understand the song. It sounds like a machine. The head comes with Talula, the racoon and the peacock, but they all are fixed, so you cannot play with them separately. To shorten it, this head is trash that doesn't fulfill any of his functions. It would have gone back if it hasn't been delivered by the "Christkind".

My daughter received this from her Nana for her 5th birthday. While my 8-year-old son was carefully helping me remove the head from all the wires, etc. in the box, he snagged his finger in a tangle in Barbie's hair, and the whole lock of hair came right out. We were all kind of dumb-founded, and my son (being the boy he is) took about five strands of hair in his fingers and gently pulled up and most all the strands came out. The hair is difficult to comb through, especially with the little brush that comes with it, and there is no weight to hold the head down, so she tips over easily. The only good part of this toy is the microphone component. My daughter would walk around singing in the microphone, dragging the useless Barbie head around. So, we are sending this toy back and will be getting her a child's cd player with a microphone instead!

"Santa" purchased this for our 5 year old daughter. She loves it! She is always styling Ro's hair and loves to sing along with Ro and the animals. When the mouth moves to make Ro sing it is a little noisy, but I don't think this bothers my daughter as much as it does me. All in all, a cute toy, well manufactured, sturdy. Ro's crown is a heavier plastic than I expected and very sturdy. The microphone cord is a really good lenghth (about 6 feet). Happy with purchase.

My four year old daughter loves to sing along and style Rosella's hair. I loved that the toy came with batteries. We were able to take it out of the box and use it right away. When other children come over to play they love it too.

I just brought this for my 5 year old daughter. The only major problem is that there is no volume control. Barbie sings and it is annoying, its so loud. On the plus side, there are not a lot of small parts to get lost or broken and my daughter does love it, but I have a feeling that it will only hold her attention for so long. So buy at your own risk.
