Nice Project Box!
Nice little project box! It's easy to open but stays shut when closed. Being plastic it makes it easy to drill. It also has 4 small plastic bosses internally for mounting a board with screws. It also makes for a very light weight box. The total weight for the substitution boxes shown on the left was less than 3.5oz each. If they would have one a little larger with the dimensions of a 1590B box (like the larger aluminum boxes on the right) I would buy more. I don't always need aluminum shielding for every project.

Great size for Arduino Micro and off-the-shelf boards. Does not screw shut (snap).
Does not screw shut - snap only. This board fits perfectly over the screw bosses molded-into the box: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WZY8CFV . Perfect size for Arduino Micro + some accessory parts to the sides like variable resistors or current transformers. Too big if you are just using a micro. Regular-sized Arduino Uno does not quite fit.

Great little QRP hobby box.
This will fit 150/140/130 size torroids very well (as shown in photo). I've used this for making ununs, baluns, filters (though I added copper foil inside as shielding), LC tuner, Z tuner, and other random things. The cover snaps on and it's does have stand offs for screwing an IC into the base. It's not perfect in any way but it's good enough for hobby work and that's what matters to me.

Good battery holder
Good for a 9 volt or a couple AAA batteries projects, or a micro controller (Like an Arduino micro or similar) but not much more. Probably ideal for a little wifi module add on project also.

Great boxes
Nice project boxes. The walls are thick enough to give it a sturdy feel even without the lid on, the lid snaps on, fits great and stays on.

Using as Outdoor Housing for SimpliSafe Door Sensors
SimpliSafe does not make an exterior sensors for things like gates so I am trying out these project boxes and so far they are working. I needed to remove the SimpliSafe slide-on sensor mount and the door sensors fits perfectly with a little space on one side. I may place a small amount of desiccant in the small open space to make sure to keep the moisture to a minimum.

What the heck are these for?!
I have no idea what these are actually SUPPOSED to be used for. I drilled holes in the tops and all sides, filled them with lil' rectangles of felt, and then poured peppermint oil all over the felt (and myself). I had read somewhere that all kinds of animals HATE peppermint. There has been something coming in my front courtyard every few weeks in the early morning. It's either a squirrel (probably not...it would be there during day, too), a big turtle (that would be nice, I like turtles), an armadillo (again, I'd be okay with that), a raccoon (still okay...there is nothing resembling food in my courtyard and they're cute...and it's not like I'm letting it in my house or I'm gonna cuddle it), OR....a mouse (cute, but NO!)....or even worse....a rat (HELL NO!!!). I decided to not take chances and bought all the stuff to keep the mystery beast away that I could find. So I made these peppermint boxes to place strategically at all doors, bought several gallons of peppermint rodent repellent spray for inside my garage and around the courtyard perimeter (I'm not using it all at once, of course), and sprinkled copious amounts of cinnamon on all my mulch. This means war. I'm waging war against an unknown enemy...and I hope it's not something cute. Which is why I went with repellent rather than booby traps. Can't have cute critters being blown to smithereens in my courtyard.
