Exactly what I needed (almost)
I have a Factor55 1.5" Hawse Fairlead on my Jeep. This doesn't not straight out of the box accommodate the larger size...I had to "customize" the upper connection points just a little for clearance. That said, the plates are very strong, the instructions and installation process were simple and I'm legal in CA (front plate required!) It would not work if you have a "thimble" or a flatlink, but I would keep those secured in my Jeep until I needed it anyway, so not an issue for me. A bit pricey, but I prefer products made in the USA vs made in Chiiiiiiiiiiina, so I'm willing to spend a little more.

Does the job and looks pretty neat
Product does what it says it does. It holds my plate that the state of Texas requires me to have up and looks pretty neat. I definitely did not want to compromise looks so I think it serves its purpose. A little hesitant on how good the top plastic handled knobs/bolts are, but I might just get lock bolts so my license plate doesn’t get stolen or falls off. I did add a silicone license plate frame and of course I had to buy separately a fairlead with bolts to attach the this mount to bumper so I don’t know that it’s worth $40 but I’m happy it looks good.

Parts did not work
Had to return as acorn nuts that came with it did not fit and as much as it cost I should not have to go out and buy additional parts… Also if you have a factor hook on front it will not fit as it doesn’t provide enough clearance…

If you have to cover up your fairlead, this is the way to do it.
New Jersey, what a dumb state. Why the h*ll do I need 2 license plates? So the cops can run my plates from the front? Come on, I'm in a jeep with 4:10 gears. Its hard to speed when I try. That being said, I was tired of taking risks of running without plates since the police are rather irritating in this state. This is the only practical design I found. Made well. the star bolts remove quickly. If you are paranoid about someone stealing your plate, just replace the star bolts. May be a pain to install. You will definitely have to remove the fairlead, which may require unbolting certain winches.

Just What I Needed
After installing a 'hidden winch' on my vehicle, I lost the part of my bumper that held my license plate in the process. A front license plate is required in Colorado.A Google search lead me to this product, and it was just what I needed. Very good quality materials and it worked like a charm. I borrowed Rich's idea and swapped the knobbed bolts for Allen head bolts to deter theft. This may not be the only product to attach a front plate over a Hawse fairlead, but it is clearly the best. It allows me to access the winch cable quickly.I subtracted a star for the way too high price, which has increased $3 since I ordered mine!

Does it's job but parts were not as pictured.
Other than being a little pricey, it is functional and does it's job. If not in Texas and front plates were not required, I could have done without it. The picture shows bolts to hold the plate bracket in place with a knob that would make it easy to remove or replace the plate when needed. Mine just came with bolts that will require tools to remove and replace. I can get different bolts with the handle on them but would have been nice to get what was pictures.
