These are the only sponges I will buy! It's soft on the yellow side and scratchy on the green side - durable & affordable enough to get through a entire week and then be thrown away. Also I ALWAYS cut these sponges in half - does anyone else do this too? A half sponge is the perfect size and I get double the use out of one. the scrub daddy is a great sponge, but i dont get durability/affordability like i do with this one. I can use one half to clean the shower or the floor...and the other half will be used for dishes. I don't think i get that option with the competitor.

These sponges come at a bit of a premium but they still beat many of the no-name sponges, in my book, for endurance and performance. I do not use them for countertops - I have swedish disclothes (that can be sanitized) for that purpose. I'm not convinced that a normal dishwasher cycle will sanitize them, as they will still get funky if I don't replace in 7-10 days. Because I use them for *dishes*! What I use for counters has to either be disposable or something I can sanitize in the washer after a day's use. Not sure why they made the shape wave-y now, except maybe to make them different. My grip on the old rectangle type was just fine, as was getting into corners with the rectangle shape. I'm just glad that the sponge part is still "spongey" instead of being made of useless plastic-ky foam. And yes, they arrive faintly damp. I've noticed reviewers commenting unhappily on that, but I do think that the sponge portion would shrivel and might even crack in storage without that moisture, and appearance - for good and bad - is everything. I'm pretty sure the sponges are moistened and then sealed up hygenically. Or at least I've never opened a package that smelled.

I love these green scrub pads. I don't think I'll go back to the blue ones. These are tough and really scrub dishes, tubs, sinks, grills, etc. Sturdy and strong. Bonus you get a pack for a great price!
