Covergirl Smoothers Moisturizing Concealer Stick, Light, 0.14 Ounce

I can't begin to tell you how incredibly happy I am to have found this wonderful perfect concealer. I have previously used high-end concealers, and everything on down to the dollar store specials. Absolutely NOTHING can compare to this Illuminator color. I'm older now, and struggle with dark circles under my eyes, and on the inner corners of my eyes. I've also developed an allergy-type reaction to everything I've tried.... except this one. I'm shocked at how well it conceals my dark circles. No watery eyes or sore dry skin either. Also, it does not make, settle into lines, or come off. I walk by a mirror throughout the day and am amazed that it's still there. It literally helps me look younger. I highly recommend giving the illuminator a try if you're in my situation. 😃👌

I absolutely love this concealer! It is very easy to apply and I find that unlike other concealers it is not patchy at all when blended. Instead, it is very moisturizing and has decent coverage. This is a holy grail for me at a good price point. I would recommend this concealer both for covering up spots on the skin and for under the eyes. The only complaint I would have would be it is more of a medium coverage than a high coverage, and does tend to crease a bit on under eyes when they are not set with powder. Considering how effortlessly this blends in and looks natural I find this to be perfect though! This does not feel cakey and is very light weight.

Cheaper than many of concealers but does a good job of coverage on 74 year old skin. Shade matches well. Easy to apply. Not chalky...nice and smooth/moist.

This is a really good concealer, especially for maturing skin. I have purchased it several times, and I always come back to it. The neutralizer does a pretty good job at neutralizing circles, though I require a layer of a different color of the same concealer on top of the neutralizer, that is because I have very dark circles and fair skin. It is highly pigmented and softer than some stick concealers. I have not experienced it drying out, even after wearing it all day. It stays on with a setting spray, and does settle into creases around the eyes, but if you pat the creases out and use a setting spray, it stays put most of the day. In the summer, it does not hold up extremely well to heat and sweat, but for the price, it is excellent, in my opinion. It is a reliable, inexpensive option for maturing skin.

For decades I used Clinique’s Continuous Coverage Foundation. It was a Clinique product that is described as a “LEGENDARY” longtime makeup foundation and trus me…it truly was! For some reason, about seven years ago they discontinued this product. The company did not warn their customers. I found out from a sales person at a Clinique counter in a department store in a mall. She said it had already been discontinued and all Clinique sellers had been told to take the makeup off their counters and keep it out of sight but if a customer asked for it they could sell it. I immediately started going to every Clinique counter within a 50 mile radius of my home and started hoarding it. The shade I used was the most popular so I was only able to purchase about 30 tubes. I also contacted the company to ask WHY it was discontinued and no answer was given except to be told Clinique had come up with a better replacement product for this iconic makeup. I cannot even remember what that product was but I did go to a Clinique counter and tried it. It was horrid. I knew there would be an uprising and there was. I innocently started a Facebook thread on a Clinique site about the discontinuation of the CC foundation. HUNDREDS of people FLOODED that thread for YEARS upset at the loss of the product. We bombarded Clinique with questions, demands, sorrow, and anger at the shady way they discontinued the only foundation that worked for so many people. After about FIVE YEARS of monitoring the thread I started I found I was STILL getting weekly posts from people STILL begging for the foundation to be brought back. It was all to no avail. I even quietly sent three women a tube of my hoarded foundation because they had been longtime lurkers in the thread and were desperately looking for replacement makeup and all three of those women had important events coming up and needed the miracle of that foundation to save their days. Yes. It was THAT GOOD. I write all of this to say that I FINALLY found a product that was almost as good as the CC foundation. It came in shades comparable to CC. The coverage was like CC in that it covered like a concealer (because it IS a CONCEALER! LOL), yet felt like you wore nothing at all on your face. It stayed all day and into the night just like CC. You didn’t have to constantly reapply or fix your makeup no matter if it was hot, humid, sweaty, and/or an event where you were being physical like dancing or performing on stage or running or hosting an event just like CC. Clinique Continuous Coverage was a miracle product that did all of that and more. It covered people’s scars, blemishes, uneven skin tone, tattoos, etc. and did it all while you felt like you weren’t wearing anything. It didn’t crack or change color or feel like you had a thick mask on. And so does the replacement I found which is the product I purchased that I am reviewing today: COVERGIRL SMOOTHERS CONCEALER! It’s not exactly like CC but it is the closest dupe I have found in my year’s long quest for a replacement. The biggest difference is that after about seven hours after application I need to pat down the shine and reapply in certain spots but it’s always quick and almost effortless to fix it after that long. I recently wore COVERGIRL Smoothers concealer to a family reunion picnic at a state park in a very humid area of the United States located between the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers where the humidity hovers close to almost 100% year round. We were outside, cooking over a grill, it was about 75 degrees during the hottest part of the day, we were in the sun, and there were a lot of smaller children in attendance which all the adults had to watch so a very active day. The COVERGIRL concealer held ALL DAY and into the early evening! I HIGHLY recommend this product and the price this seller sells it for is comparable to the prices in stores so I can purchase it without having to waste gas and run out to buy it! The seller got it to me overnight but I realize I do live close to an Amazon Warehouse so my shipping times are almost always short. But they did ship it immediately which helps everyone get products quicker than normal. By the way, every now and then I go searching if anyone has some of the discontinued Clinique CC foundation they are trying to sell and there is almost always someone on eBay or other sales sites selling a stray tube they have left. I looked on eBay before I typed this review and found one lone tube for sale and do you want to know how much you can get for a tube of that legendary and iconic foundation that literally was the only miracle foundation for generations of users? It was listed for $399 and some change. And someone WILL eventually purchase it because they will need it for their wedding day or to attend a special event to to hoard to wear to church. It really was THAT good and shame on Clinique for stopping production and being shady about why and not caring as thousands of people begged them to bring it back including the people who worked at Clinique counters who were sad and tired of so many longtime customers who STILL come in begging to buy it. Sorry for the long review but this situation did become a year’s long battle for me and to finally be able to recommend a decent enough and very affordable replacement feels like a WIN for consumers. I cannot recommend it enough: try using this concealer as your foundation. I really think you will be pleased!

It covers very well it is good for old women I am 94

I have not had luck with concealers in the past but decided to try again as my aging skin could use some help. This product was very reasonably priced so I was surprised at just how well it worked. It covers and brightens my under eye area without settling into my fine lines. It glides on smoothly and blends very well. I have been putting it on after my foundation, then tapping it in to blend. I recommend and will purchase again in the future.

Io ho la pelle chiare e nonostante ciò è forse un filino ancora chiaro per me, però fa la sua funzione considerando il rapporto qualità/prezzo e la tenuta è buona, lo ricomprerei.
