It's perfect. He does what he has to do and ...
Only 4 days for delivery in Thailand. It's perfect. He does what he has to do and the sound is OK. Not enough "BASS*, When you change it, I can't see any difference, but it's OK.Now I can listen my old tapes, it's make my happy. CD, MP3, USB and audio externe. Turner FM. Everything easy to use with or without remote. Perfect to listen music in the kitchen, garden, fishing, camping and else......... I like also the "sleep function".Sorry, after 1 month, can no more use CD, it's broken. Anyway, I use with USB to listen my music.

Excellent sound quality
Excellent sound quality, just one glitch. Upon first switching it on, the cd player does not recognise the disc at first (brand new cd), it takes a couple of attempts of either switching the player off and on again or selecting another media then going back to cd, before the "no disc inserted" message disappears and the disc plays. I've tried it with different discs, same result. The rest of it works fine.

It's all about the bass - no trebble!
This is quite an expensive product so you would hope it would be very good, and it certainly is on paper. It is big for a portable stereo, but not excessively so. I especially like the USB port function for my mp3 player. The volume control is good and everything about it feels reassuringly sturdy. The radio auto-tune works well too. It has a good depth of sound - you can really pick out the instrumentation on classical CD's. There are two levels of bass boost and about five presets for classical, rock, jazz, pop and normal. That sounds great and yet I found every setting to be rather heavy on the bass, which distorted the music and made the human voice far less clear than it should be on a good stereo. However, the reason I decided to return mine is because it turns out that despite being sold by amazon.co.uk and with no mention of this fact; it is actually a French product with a French plug! Also, the cassette deck has no record button, even though it is shown on the box! A final annoyance is that the CD player triggers a pause between tracks which ruins CDs where tracks are supposed to run together.Surely for the price there should have been fewer problems?

Only just average
A long review follows, so please bear with me !Just so you know where I am coming from this replaces my Hitachi Hi-Fi that at 25 years old did not survive my last move to well, thing I knew I would need to compromise on are :-50 watts output RMSTwin Cassette, one full auto reverseMW and LW radio (digital tuner)So to the Philips I have had it for four months now and I have to say I really, really tried to like it but it falls short on to many points OBVIOUSLY this is NOT an expensive Hi-Fi like my old Hitachi but I would have expected better from Philips.Good points :Looks goodOne of the very few portable units with a cassette deckCassette has very soft ejectCD has random (same as my Hitachi)USB playbackAUX inputBad points :Whole unit feels cheap and light weight12 watts output is very optimistic must be PMPO (peak power)Cassette deck is very cheap, no record button or full auto stopCD will play CD-R/RW but is very picky and tends to skip/pauseMP3 playback excessive pause between tracks and NO text so no track names or album namesRemote is very small and fiddly I have average size hands and struggle with the buttons and no power buttonMy biggest disappointment is the sound I like bass and even with the extra bass on and the 'rock' setting the bass is only just average and sounds 'flat'The one and only reason I have kept the Philips is as I said it is one of the few that still has a cassette the other being Sony but as there units have a very pitiful 1.7 watts output it was not a choice.Would I recommend ? No.

AZ787 USB tape Digital tuning CD Soundmachine
I bought this to replace (as near as possible) pretty well the same machine I loaned to someone and never got back!! Sound quality is excellent. The picture is somewhat deceptive, the CD player isn't as huge as it looks. The remote is small, but not fiddly, very easy to use, and the battery is ready loaded.

Good cd player
A good CD player but a poor cassette player no microphone and no record facility. Radio was extremely difficult to tune as it was digital and FM only, not helped by the appalling pictorial flat pack style instruction manual.
