Summer Bridge Activities 3rd to 4th Grade Workbook, Activity Book with Math, Reading Comprehension, Science, Fitness, Social Studies, Writing Practice, and Flash Cards (Volume 5)

This is our third summer using the Summer Bridge Activities books, and I cannot recommend them enough. A teacher shared these books with us several years back, and we have been using them for all of our kids ever since. It has been a massive help for our family. When our kids do their beginning of the year testing, they always test higher instead of dropping over the break. While other children in their grades often experience a summer slide, these books keep our kids sharp. This particular grade level is aligned with what our son has learned which is helpful for review but also new material for the upcoming school year. I love that he is still feeling challenged over the summer! I love that you can just spend 15 minutes a day and continue to sharpen your kids' minds. I was also so glad to see that they released new books with new material this year, and it is absolutely affordable too. If you are consistent, these workbooks should easily last all summer long. Pair this with 30 minutes of daily reading, and your kids will definitely not fall behind or forget what they learned in the prior years. Instead, they will be incredibly well-prepared for the upcoming grade level. Overall, it is an easy five stars from me because I love these books and will continue to use them for many more years ahead.

Excellent way to bridge from one grade to another with a large variety for topics. This workbook not only reviews, but introduces new topics that will give your student an introduction which enables them to feel more confident in the year ahead. From a teacher who taught for 40 years.

Great book with lots of fun activities that help strengthen and reinforce skills taught the previous year . The book is divided into days with a language arts/ math selection for each day

It's a good quality book with good review exercises, but EVERY page has fallen out while working on it so we've had to use a binder clip to clip them to the front cover. It also seems more like 4th to 5th grade work to me. My daughter can complete the work, but needs some help and explanation, and some of the concepts seem like they're something you would LEARN in 4th grade, not 3rd.

Wonderful book bridging the gap between 3rd and 4th grade, granddaughters is doing great

I buy these Summer Bridge workbooks every year for my daughters, and they have become part of our summer routine. They do a great job of keeping important skills fresh while helping the girls stay ready for the next grade level. The lessons are engaging, easy to follow, and not overwhelming, making it simple to fit learning into our summer schedule. I highly recommend them for preventing the summer slide and helping kids start the school year with confidence!

Good practice for summer months.

Ho preso due libri usati, macmi aspettavo che fossero integri, cioe' che almeno non mancassero pagine, anche se svolte. Uno dei due testi mancava di molte pagine.

Great book for kids to learn and practice wotk

Many concepts have not been covered in Grade 3, and the book gives very little explanation/modelling, so this requires a lot of extra time to pre-teach concepts (like PEDMAS, which I was not aware they taught in primary). As a few others mentioned, it’s covering a lot of grade 4, a little prematurely.
