Every Mount-It product I have used has been a pleasure. I bought the VonHaus version of this shelf,  VonHaus 2x Black Floating Shelf with Strengthened Tempered Glass for DVD Players/Cable Boxes/Games Consoles/TV Accessories , originally because it was cheaper and I thought, "it's the same shelf, why not?". Well I can tell you why not, there were no screw holes in the metal upright that you mount to the wall. I would have needed to either drill them myself or somehow displace matter as I mounted the unit. I returned it to amazon without issue and immediately ordered this one, as I have used and enjoyed Mount-It products in the past. I wasn't disappointed.The installation was a breeze and it looks great.As far as the shelf in general, I think the design is a bit strange. The "cable management" thing at the side seems like it would only work if you placed the cables in before you affixed it to the wall (I didn't use it but did use them as cable tie anchor points). I am using the shelf for my modem, router and phone box, so not very demanding on weight. I used drywall anchors and didn't place it in a stud, but it holds well and no movement. I would definitely recommend this shelf for light duty tasks.

This is a really nice piece. It goes perfect with our Mount It TV wall Mount. The glass shelves are thick and sturdy. They fit our small blu-ray player nicely. We plan to put a Bose Solo on the other shelf. The shelves are small, so be sure your elements fit on them. I could easily see how larger players might not fit.

This was purchased to hold a cable box/DVR for a wall mount TV in my home gym. Went up easy without issue. The pieces feel a little low end as most of it is plastic. My only complaint is that the shelf area is a bit smaller than you would think by measurements given due to the design. The fit for my box which should have been right on the money seems a little tight. With that said it is holding the box fine, just sticks out a bit more thanI would have liked. Glass shelves are fine. Cord management is a little bit of a challenge but probably would be with any of these units.All in all for the price I found this unit to be acceptable and has fulfilled my needs. The look of the shelving is nice and I am happy with the purchase.

Perfect for my bedroom. Pretty sturdy and holds my DVD player and cable box. Looks very sleek and I'm glad that I purchase this one. These shelves are perfect for my needs.

Mounted this below my flat screen to hold a cable box and router on one shelf and a blu ray player on the other. It only lasted 24 hours before the screws pulled out of the wall. We had used screw anchors, but no dice. Since this thing is made of glass it's a no win. It looked great for those few hours it was up, though.

I used these in a travel trailer to hold the satellite receiver and blu-ray player. Easy to install and seem sturdy enough to withstand the shock and vibration of the ride. I used velcro straps to hold down the components and keep the shelves from bouncing. Would be nice if they sold extra shelves so I could add one more.

The shelving unit itself works well enough. It's great for smaller areas, and the shelf height is adjustable which is very nice. Don't be fooled by the "cable management" that's discussed though. There isn't a lage hollow area to run cable through like many other units with cable management. If you look at an enlarged image of the shelf and see the little black nubs in the back, that is what is supposed to help hide the wires. However when you mount this to the wall, the nubs are too close to the wall to fit anything behind, and they are too close together to fit regular sized wires (like an ethernet or power cord) in between. If you are specifically buying this for cable management, you will most likely end up returning it. If you don't care about that, and need small shelves to hold fewer than 20 lbs of stuff, this is a good buy. For me, I'll be resorting to rubber bands.

What can I say. I love it. Mounted in no time. Didn't have too much trouble with room for the cables, but routing power, a/v cable and an RF cable through the teeth like retainers was a challenge. I've got a VCR and Blu Ray on one shelve and my cable box on the other. Sharp looking upgrade to my home.
