Big Beach Shovel (Colors Vary)

The seller makes it appear that you are receiving two shovels when in fact, you are only receiving one. I bought this because I thought there would be a shovel for each of my children, that was not the case. The shovel itself is ok, it's a little awkward that the handle is so short and the scoop is so big, even for a 2 year old.

I got this today and was a little disappointed to see how dirty the item was 'brand new'. I was also expecting this to be a very thick, sturdy plastic (the handle certainly is) but I can picture my heavy handed four year old cracking the end off our first day at the beach, too bad we won't be using it until June. I was also very surprised at the size- I knew it would be larger than a traditional pail and shovel, but this thing is as long as my fingertips to elbow!

It's a plastic shovel. Five bucks is a little much, especially considering it came all dinged up and scratched with a thin film of dirt and grit on it. But it helped my order get to the minimum amount to ship an add on item, and now my boss has a replacement poop scoop for his dog. Plus side, it's made in America, which is rare for plastic these days.

Disappointed that the plastic is thin, and the shovel is very shallow. Best for younger kids, not sturdy enough for older ones (over about 5yo). Does not work well with heavy, wet sand at the beach.

Very satisfied with the quality of the shovels. The only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with, was the variation of colors. I ordered 6 shovels; received 4 in one color and 2 in another. Was hoping they would have come in a variety of colors.

Great toy but arrived only one of 2 pieces
