VIVA Scandinavia Glass Infusion Teapot, 39-ounce

I have lots of teapots, but was looking for a modern style teapot, and this fits the bill exactly. I can pour four cups of tea. Highly recommended to add a touch of elegance to your day.BEAUTY: This teapot is elegant and unique with its straight, simple lines. The clear glass allows you to see the tea brew. The handle seemed slim at first, but it's strong.FUNCTION: The stainless steel strainer is easy to remove using the small handle and easy to rinse/clean the tiny holes. It also dries quickly. It's only 1.5" between the edges of the strainer and teapot, so I can easily place the teapot under my hot water dispenser to fill it. To fully fill the pot requires the tea go up the spout quite a bit, so one must carefully carry the pot level to not spill. This hasn't been a problem for anyone using the teapot. The lid is stainless steel on top, silicone around the edge, and plastic below. It took me a little work to figure how to remove the lid, but it works well and keeps the tea hot. No dripping from the spot with the notch.

This is my third glass teapot. Two prior ones were from Bodum and they were fine, except I never understood a press system for teas. Tea brewing is done by infusion, no need to squeeze out the leaves. Assuming you don't need that feature, this tea pot works just fine.The sieve/filter seems stamped from a fairly thing sheet metal, but the punched holes are very fine where the brewed tea has very little particulate.The lid has a pretty elaborate rubber gasket that seals and secures the filter against the glass pot so the filter doesn't tilt when pouring/tilting the teapot.Overall, this is a well-designed, minimalist teapot.
