While I had a bit of trepidation about using a knock-off AC Power system for my VERY expensive Canon 1DX, I can say that I am extremely pleased with the Adapter and its performance.I Live Stream long videos...sometimes for up to 90-minutes using the 1DX as my primary camera via USB. It has phenomenal performance, but the battery simply can't last that long, and having to interrupt a stream to change batteries is extremely annoying. This AC Power adapter changed the paradigm. Now using for over three months, with many long streams shot with the Canon and sometimes not even turning it off afterwards...there has not been a single hiccup and the camera stays cool and fully operational.I can't say enough good things about the performance of this system. It's Five Stars PLUS for me, and I can honestly and VERY heartily recommend it to those who have a compatible Canon. As soon as I removed the product from the box I could tell that it was poorly made. The "battery" part that slides into the camera was super light and flimsy. I inserted it into the Canon 1DC battery slot, attached the other cables and plugged the cable into the wall outlet. The camera turned on. I thought sweet this is actually going to work. I hit record and this is where everything went downhill. The camera recorded for around 2 minutes and then shut off. I turned the on/off switch on the camera to off and then switched it back on. I could hear the camera trying to turn on, but it never turned on again, until I put a real battery back in. I don't think this adapter can support the power requirements of the Canon 1DC. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

I was kind of skeptical to start with, as this is pretty clearly an off-brand, iffy product. Should've gone with the gut feeling on this one, when I use it (In America and Europe) the light turns on, to indicate power flowing, but the camera says insufficient power. Doesn't work, It's too bad really, I had such high hopes.

I needed one of these to do time lapse photography with my 1D. The Canon part is, naturally, expensive, and a simple AC to DC power supply with the necessary 1D battery form factor should be reasonably priced. This one is. Works fine, and arrived quickly.

Didn't work for the Canon 1DX

Only had it for a month, but it works great.
