Solid model
Accurate recreation of MD-500 just wish it was a solid black model versus “swat”

Poor quality
I got this for my son for his birthday. Since I held it for a birthday gift we are past the return window. Upon opening the helicopter two of the blades in the propeller fell off. They are only attached by a small screw. As my husband was trying to fix the blades another one snapped in half.

Could be better
Could be better. My biggest problem is that the rear seat windows are just a hole in the fuselage. There is no "glass" in the window. I don't think any real NH-500 would have it this way. I spent a lot of time and grief trying multiple attempts to scratch build windows. I finally got it done but it looks kind of crappy. This one will be relegated to my top shelf in the back. It would have been so easy for the company to just do it right from the beginning. The fuselage halves were not completely joined. There is about a 2 MM gap on the bottom of the fuselage. One of the pilot's control yolks was not glued and just flops back and forth inside the aircraft. It hasn't fallen out yet, but I can't fix it without taking the fuselage apart. I am afraid to try that because I might not get back together again.

Very flimsy built at the company.
I liked the size. I did not like that some parts were loose and broke inside the body. Plastic windows were put in crooked. I had to apply crazy glue to some of the parts for extra strength. I managed to straighten up the windows. I had to take out the windows they just snap in and fixed up the loose parts. I was able to put the windows in straight now. I put some extra parts on I had for 1/32 scale aircraft. Looks good now. I am glad I am an experienced model builder.
