to be honest, this product really suffered from the expectations that shipping caused. I knew that shipping was going to be a long time, the vendor told me shipping was going to take a long time, but it REALLY took a long time. In this age of Prime overnight shipping, the best this vendor could do was two months. By the time the package got to my mailbox, I was really looking forward to shooting it. I liked the pictures of the color, the style, the band types, it looks good right? Yeah I shot it twice, and it was so awkward and painful I had to quit shooting it.All in all; it's a different color than the pictures, it's rusty, it's missing parts, it's a half-size smaller than you think it should be, the bands are so short and stout that I can't draw them, it's super heavy, and, inexplicably, it reeks of fish?This slingshot was supposed to be matte silver color, instead it's patchy dark/light gunmetal grey, with rust infilling some of the engraving and some of the text on the grip.There was a picture of a lanyard in the original sales post, no lanyard.I'm a big guy, with hands that usually fit XL gloves, but the handle of this slingshot is tiny. When I pinch-grip this, the spot where my pointer finger goes is pushed painfully into the sling loop holder. Under the pinch-grip, I can only get two fingers around the handle, and because the butt has that swoop tip on it, you almost have to hold your pinky out to shoot. Now this kinda ties into the poor band choice, the bands are about 7" active length, but they're so damn stout that at about 25" of draw, you're easily pulling 60-70lbs of force. Keep in mind that when you pull THAT hard on a tiny, poorly fitting slingshot, it's crushing the hell out of your fingers. I couldn't get these loops back to my anchor point without really hurting my fingers, or getting a super-dangerous feeling pulling questionable latex that hard towards my face.Where did a fish smell come from?? I fish, and this smells exactly like how my hands smell after I clean a salmon. I am gonna have to leave this in the garage for a week or two, and hope the cat doesn't drag it off.. Well, to be honest, the cat would need about six weeks of a workout regimen to move this dang thing, it's solid metal.. Judging by the poor gunmetal coloring, the rust, and the slight magnetism, this may be some low-grade stainless steel? It weighs about as much as a bike lock, the handle and the forks are solid metal,, with a fish-smelling plastic side panel on the handle that also wasn't in the original pictures.Now I haven't contacted the vendor to complain, because A. it's from China, caveat emptor, and B. it's from China, if it took two months to get here, the resolution may never come, and it's not worth more of my life to find out. After it's de-stink time in the garage, I plan on taking this apart, wire-brushing as much of the rust as I can get off, throwing away the bands and re-banding to a much lighter bandset with smaller pouches to see if I can actually shoot this..Or I might re-enact King Arthur and leave this on a rock, and if anyone can lift it they can take it home.. Unless the price dives on this to sub $20, and you're super patient, and you have tiny hands, I can't recommend buying this.
