Excellent stitches and features for low cost light weight sewing machine
Light weight, easy to move, stitches are very good, needle threader works well and up/down needle feature is great to have. For a no frills machine this has several features that are extremely useful. It has an immediate tie off button; and straight stitch selections that reinforce the beginning and end of a line of stitching. Perfect for learning or easy to take to classes.

Easy to use, great quality
Love this sewing machine. Easy to use. The stitches are great. I have not had to adjust and tensions and the stitches are perfect. Easy to wind bobbin. Not a lot of bells and whistles but very good basic machine with enough extra stitching. But, it is a little noisy . I would recommend this machine.

Perfect Sewing Machine
This was a gift for my granddaughter for her 10th birthday. She wanted to learn to sew but didn't have a sewing machine. She requested a pink one. This was the closest I could get her. Although she lives in another state, I had it shipped to her and when I arrived to celebrate her birthday she was allowed to open it. We began to sew a small quilt as you go quilt since that was something simple for her. Now that I have been home for almost a month, she has taken it upon herself to sew more of those. She may not stick with it continuously but I know she will fall back to it as she gets older.

Great machine abut don't count on the threader.
This machine is very much like the one I had for 25 years. It sews well and is easily managed. I would have given it 5 stars but the threader does not work well at all. I haven't been successful using it. I had a friend try to use it and they couldn't get it to work either. Everything else on the machine does very well.

Great product
I bought and returned 3 other machines from different manufacturers before I bought this one. I’ve owned this one for about six months, it has sewn through everything from multiple layers of denim, knit stretchy material and light weight fabric with no trouble what so ever. It’s done so with no jamming and very little fiddling with tension settings. It’s easy to thread and picks up the bobbin thread without any issues. It has ample stitch selections for my purposes and the automatic stitch selector has worked flawlessly. For the price, it cannot be beat.

Good Basic Machine for Travel
I go to a weekly sewing class and my regular machine (a Janome QDC, ~22lbs) was too heavy to lug back and forth - plus I didn't want to damage a pricier machine in transit. This lightweight ~11lb machine isn't fancy and lacks some of the features of the nicer machine (button for thread clipping, for instance). For the price and weight though - it's fantastic. If you're needing to travel with a machine or are a new sewist just wanting a basic starter unit, this is a good solid choice. I've had it for a few months and I'm happy.

Can only handle lightweight fabric.
It's a cute little machine. Unfortunately it can only handle thin fabric. It was excellent with cotton and linen, but even very thin wool made it skip stitches. And I did change the tension and put in appropriate needle. Sadly, had to return.

Easy and quiet
This is a great machine. I am replacing my brother with it and am excited to see again. I had many issues with my Brother catching thread getting jammed on heavy and lightweight fabrics just frustrating to continue using it. I saw this Janome and it fit the budget perfectly. It’s quiet smooth and can go from layers of denim to jersey with no problems at all. I quilt but I also make tiny doll clothing so neat stitching is a must. Got helos iris thread to go in the machine. Happy.
