CON-PRE-SN-BK Privacy Lever Door Lock with Knob Handle Lockset, Satin Nickel

I bought these to try to match a door at our house. I found this one used. It came in its original packaging, in its original packaging but yet all broken up into pieces. At least the notes and the install instructions were present as well as the screws and everything else needed. Great working condition and looks almost new. Don't be afraid to purchase things refurbished or used. Save great money that way.

Four screws to remove and four to replace. So easy and fast.

Replaced two bedroom door latches that have withstood 30 years of use. Had to use a rat-tail file to slightly enlarge the hole for the bolt mechanism....less than 2 minutes per door. Other than that, installation went without a hitch. In use, I've noticed that the radii of the handle edges are sharper than on the previous units--it's not a safety or visual issue, but rather one of touch (and comparison with previous units). I'm sure that if I had the workingman's hands of my younger days, I'd never have noticed the difference. Finish on exposed parts is flawless.

First off, let me state, you get what you pay for! I did not want to spend a ton of money changing out 10 sets of door knobs. My wife likes satin nickel EVERYTHING, so the brass coated door knobs I perviously had in my home had to go. With the decent reviews on Amazon, I ordered them. FYI, I ordered these directly from DSD GROUP (the manufacture of Constructor Prelude locks) through Amazon. These were not fulfilled by Amazon, but by DSD GROUP!On to my review:-the locks have everything needed to install in your standard door (2 door levers, latch, striker plate, screws, and instructions)-instructions are mediocre at best (I have installed over 500 door locks, so those were of no use to me)-satin nickel finish is good, and handles feel solid-plastic clam shell packaging looks nice, and does its job-spring back rate is good, from both top and bottom (lever handles)-latch assembly is made from thinner steel, but it does the trick, these are interior doors we are talking about!-they do look very modern, and do get compliments from family and friendsWhy I gave 3 stars:- these levers DO have to swapped around depending on if your door is a left or right swing door. The instruction do show you how to depress the lever tab (the online YouTube videos of this are much more help) to release the levers from the base assembly. It also shows that you have to swap sides the "turn to lock" button and the "stick the flat blade screwdriver into the slot to unlock" button. You also have to flip the long thin locking bar around as one side is thicker than to other side (thin side goes into the "turn to lock button" and the thicker side goes into the "stick the flat blade screwdriver into the slot to unlock" button)-this is where the frustration sets in.......after 3 hours of trying to figure out why the door handle was binding and would not open or close, nor would the "turn to lock button" turn at ALL, I finally figured it out! With no help from the mediocre instructions provided, there is a 1/2" long by 1/8" thick steel pin in the "stick the flat blade screwdriver into the slot to unlock" button that you have to remove in order for the long locking bar to insert further into the button. Once I removed this pin, I was able to fully tighten the 2 long threaded mounting bolts, and the lock worked like a charm with no binding!If the instructions were WAY more detailed, and I did not waste 3 hours of my time figuring this issue out, I would have given this lock at least a 5 star rating!CPS

Good handle

Theres nothing even standard quality about these door handles. They are satin nickel but the expectations stop there.I just installed 2 of these and it took over 45 minutes after following instructions. I cant tell you how poorly they are designed, just simply stay away. They are on now and i dont know how long theyll last since the cheap construction and shotty design is felt every time you grab the door handle. I give these maybe 2 months before Im buying another set. Im so pissed I dont want to type out all the mis-aligned and difficult to install features.. just save yourself some time and embarrassment and try another door handle. They cant be any worse and thats a guarantee

These door knobs are an affordable way to update your home from the old round door knobs. Punched in satin nickel look fantastic.

Love the product. Works well easy to install the price point compared to the big box stores… no comparison. Sturdy.

These are nice and stylish to update my house. I like them but I find they don't feel solid. Like they would break off if you pulled on it too hard. Easy to install though and look nice.

Je ne savais pas que s’aller être petit pour les trous 🕳 dans ma porte, alors j’ai utilisé la colle chaude pour remplacer les clous😅😅🤓. Sa marche super 👍 bien !!! Sauf que je ne sais pas 🤷‍♀️ pour combien de temps 😞 mais je l’ai vraiment bien fixé, alors sa va durer longtemps j’espère 🤞. Et j’ai oublié de vous dire il n’y a pas de clé 🔐 alors si je suis coincé 🤣🤣😂😂
