Pleased! 1st shot, 1st kill!
Wow I just received the Gamo 611006875554 Swarm Whisper Air Rifle.22 Caliber, Black a few days ago. And as a natural born skeptic I usually put more weight to the negative reviews. So I was on the lookout for shoddy packaging at first. No such thing this gun was packaged professionally. Next, I figured the scope would be a piece of junk as many opined throughout the reviews. Honestly, I am not anything near a professional regarding scopes. But I will say my 1st shot at a squirrel which had caused $1,454 in damage to my Ford Raptor was 1 shot 1 kill. The scope came out of the box up to the task of a 50 yard shot. The Gamo .22 pellets worked so well it killed the little piece of crap immediately. The gun has hefty weight and is of course louder than an average pelllet gun. But it was quiet when compared with my friends .22 crossman. I don't know...but right off the rip this rifle impressed the hell out of me!

What I thought as a user
It was a very good product worked great accurate got the job done was fun and was very durable I dropped it a few time and it still worked great. But the scope was not the best if I bought it again I would get a 20-50$ scope and use that instead also one day I was using it and all the sudden it stopped working so yeah it was probably a user error because I let my friends use it and that was not smart but otherwise it was a great product and well worth it for what it cost now I will try to fix it later but otherwise was great. My one thing was it was hard to pressurize the chamber/cock it

easy to use
I just received this pellet rifle and have limited experience with it as of this writing. With that in mind; I really like it. Accuracy is great and pellet impact energy seems to be more then adequate for small game. A 5 shot group at 45 ft. was ¾ in. I shot a soda can full of water at 45 ft. and the pellet penetrated thru it and blow it open. It is easy to cock and the self loading feature works like a charm. I used the Hunter and TS-22 Gamo pellets.

I was happy with it
Happy with it, very accurate, scope was mediocre and we replaced it.

Fun to shoot
Powerful and I love the magazine, makes follow up shots much easier and faster. The trigger isn’t bad but I’m used to quality triggers on my real rifles. It’s great for plinking and target practice at home, it’s very quiet compared to other high powered air rifles I own. The only thing I don’t like is because the magazine is on top of the barrel, you have to use the scope. I prefer iron sights out to 100 yards.

Impressed at first, and downhill from there....Loading system fails, Gun destroys scopes/mounts!
UPDATE 5 March 2020: The gun has literally destroyed 5 different scope mounts/scope mount systems! I am yet to find a scope mount that will hold up. Likewise with scopes.... I've tried several different "air gun rated" scopes, and all have bit the dust once mounted on this gun. Today, after approx 2200 round, the loading system stopped functioning, and since it's still within the return time frame, I requested a replacement. Now..... if I could only find a scope and scope mount capable of holding up to the pounding this gun puts on them. Know the gun is not to blame for the scopes/mounts being destroyed..... however, the loading system failing is. I've owned both this gun and the Swarm Maxxim, and both loading systems failed. I have changed my rating to a single star for the time and aggravation caused by having to return them for replacements. As always Amazon is awesome with returns! I need more reliability than this or any Gamo rifle could offer..... so I will be looking at higher cost rifles in the near future.UPDATE: It's been less than a week, and a tad over 1000 rounds..... and the loading mechanism has stopped working. It either sends a pellet to the floor, or does not seat the pellet far enough into the barrel...and the skirt gets crimped....and the pellets tumble in flight. I other wise love this gun, so am returning it for a replacement, and if the next one has the same issues, will return it for a refund. I'm hoping it's a fluke...but after reading tons of reviews, with many of them stating the same issue(s)........ I am reducing my review to 3 stars. Durability is a key component in any firearm, and if the loading mechanism goes out after ONLY 1000 ROUNDS there is a design issue, a quality control issue, or both. I'm going to make sure I get as many rounds as possible through the replacement before the return period expires....just in caseORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been a shooter/hunter my entire life, have recently gotten into air rifles. I have purchased (and returned) several, for various reasons, and was beginning to wonder if their were any decent air rifles being produced. This one arrived yesterday morning, and I spent the rest of the day on the range with it.....THINGS I LIKE:-Well built, and initial out of the box inspection revealed all screws and bolts to be tight and as they should be.-Fit and finish is a bit better then average of what I've seen with most air rifles-The 10 shot rotary magazine is pretty cool.....it makes shooting this gun really fun.-Accuracy is the BEST I have obtained out of last 5 break barrel rifles I've tried. (see photos) This particular gun likes Crosman Premier Hollow Point Pellets. THE ONE THING I KNOW ABOUT AIR RIFLES.....EACH FAVORS A PARTICULAR PELLET/AMMO.....SO YOU MUST TRY DIFFERENT ONES.ON THE FENCE ABOUT:-The 10 shot rotary loading mechanism... I've read much about it failing on these guns, with the company being basically unresponsive to owners about any issues. That, in conjunction with most airgun dealers offering replacement reloading mechanisms is a bit disconcerting....but the upside is that the replacement part is only $20.... and if the gun will go thousands of rounds before needing it....that's acceptable.THINGS I DISLIKE:-"Whisper" in the name is a VERY LOOSE term. This gun is LOUD. I have a cheap Crosman F4 that is far quieter than this gun!-The Trigger out of the box has a LOT OF TRAVEL, and fairly "dragging" when breaking. Adjusting it in very fickle too. TINY movements of the adjustment screws create large changes in how the trigger feels/works. Having worked with it for about an hour, looking back I'd recommend just leaving it as it comes out of the box.-THE INCLUDED SCOPE IS TERRIBLE! Just a few shots after sight in, the included scope stared the old "wandering zero" thing. It's beyond me why air gun sellers can't include at least a decent scope....I'd be willing to pay a few more dollars for at least a usable included scope! I've learned to have a "good" scope around to replace the included ones....and after mounting it/sighting in...... went onto testing different ammo (see photos)CONCLUSION:So far, this is the best overall break barrel air rifle I have tried. I think it would be accurate to say it has the least amount of flaws that I have seen so far, and is a good value for the money. The 10-shot rotary mag system makes it fun to shoot, and it's accuracy, once you find the "right" pellets, is above average for a break barrel. It will possibly get more quiet over time/break in, but right out of the box, using the term "Whisper" is very misleading. All that said, it should be deadly on pests and small game.NOTE: I was trained is specialize marksmanship in the Military....... When I think of "accuracy", my interpretation is being able to shoot 5+ rounds into a single hole, but I have only seen 1 or 2 "out of the box" rifles that were capable of such a thing...... so when I see a $150 air rifle being able to hold a sub 2" group, that's pretty decent accuracy. I would hope that getting into the higher end air guns would offer better accuracy.....but I've not gotten there yet. ;)NOTE: As with most any modern air rifle.....it requires a "break in" period. This means you need to shoot AT LEAST a COUPLE HUNDRED rounds through it before doing any final "sigh in"...... mine required about 300 rounds before the accuracy settled down. It is also ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO INSPECT/TIGHTEN ALL HARDWARE BEFORE FIRST USE, AND IF YOU MOUNT A SCOPE, USE LOC-TITE. ALSO, CLEAN THE BORE WITH NON-PETROLEUM SOLVENT (NO WD40 OR SIMILAR)..... USE GOO-GONE. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY, YOU NEED TO LEARN THE BASICS OF AIR GUNS.
