Great iron with powerful steam function
This was a replacement for another Breville iron. Previous one was a cheaper model. It was worth paying the extra £10 or so for this model which is far superior in terms of performance. Large water tank and plenty of steam resulting in superior results. It's quite heavy but don't mind that as helps with the glide.

Really good iron for price range
This is the best iron I have bought for a long time. So far (speaking after a month of use) I am very impressed with it. I do quite a bit of dressmaking and am often frustrated with draggy soleplates, poor steam, inefficient heating and short power cables.I hesitated to buy this because my experience of ceramic soleplates in the past has been poor, but, I have found this one to glide very well over all the fabrics I have tried so far. The iron is heavier than many of the more recent ones I have tried, which may be off putting for some, but, combined with the decent steam output and efficient soleplate the extra little bit of weight does improve pressing results. The cord is a good length at 3m and the water chamber is large enough that you're not running to the sink every 5 minutes. I find the iron to be stable when on it's heel - the auto cut off works, but reheating does not take long and I've not noticed any splashing or spitting. I haven't had to clean anything sticky off the soleplate yet, so that will be a test for another day.The only minor niggles I have are - the lid for the water chamber doesn't shut very definitely - I close it and find myself pressing on it to try and shut it properly, but it already is closed, and I find that I quite often catch the temperature dial with my hand - so far only spinning it towards cool, which is better than hot, and it does make a little noise when turning so I've noticed and put it back in the right place.I have definitely been more inclined to iron clothes since I bought this, and whilst I can't claim it makes me love ironing, I enjoy using it more than any iron I have bought in a long time (which includes several of the big brands in the £30 - £60 price range)

Brilliant iron
Used this for the 1st time today and it's brilliant. So quick at getting out creases. Probably the best iron I've had. I love all the features like auto switch off, the label that changes colour to let you know when it's safe to put away and vertical steam. Good cord length too ..... 3m. My only complaint would be that it is quite heavy which I'm not used too, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Good Iron
Glad I went for this iron. I don't find it too heavy. Easy too use and the cable length is fab. Also the water tank is a good size and the opening is big enough without spilling water everywhere.

Great iron at a great price.
This iron has great features. There are many times that I wonder if I left the iron on so the automatic shut off system is reassuring. The amount of steam it produces means that ironing is easy and fast. The seller’s price was lower than others and the iron arrived on time and in excellent condition.

Breville Steam Iron 5 star rating for value and performance
This iron is so much better than my old iron and makes light work of ironing now with great steaming and an extra large water tank plus brilliant value for money.

Nice iron
Good iron, easy to use. Nice long cord length so you can set your ironing board up practically anywhere in a room without having to hug a wall socket. Temperature control very good.

Great value for a mid range iron. Recommended
Price was great. Cord length perfect, looks good and it works well. This replaced a Philips Azur costing twice as much. The Philips lasted 2.5 years (stopped heating and prior to that the steam switch siezed). I'm optimistic this is a superior iron. Time will tell
