I’m happy!
I passed my exam! This book was very helpful. However, I give it 4 stars for some repetition paragraphs and the use of the ‘R’ word!!!! I would use this book in conjunction with 240 tutorials and YouTube videos! Happy Testing!

Not good enough on it's own
I think this book is fine to know what topics need to be studied. But I had to look online for more explanations than what the book gives. For example there is a physics section that is not long enough to be able to explain concepts. Also, I think even when the book is trying to explain, sometimes the wording is confusing. I guess the book is fine as a starting point but now I'm looking for a book to supplement it.

Would buy again
This book was a helpful tool as I prepared for my exam, which I passed on the first try. The book was my main resource, but I also looked up a few things online that weren't described in detail in the text. Yes, there are some spelling errors, but the overall content is good. I did notice that some of the things in the book about federal and state health initiatives were out of date, so beware and do your research. I plan to buy more Xamonline books as I study for the EC-6 and ESL tests.

Helpful Study Guide Even with a Million Typos
This book has been very helpful, but the amount of typos is a bit extreme for an educational book. Words are left out etc. It’s more helpful than not, but those typos are seriously distracting.

Great book but too many misspelled words
The book was a basis for my studying but did help out when I took my PE certification. I passed with flying colors because of this book. It had a lot of misspelled words but was still a good review. Would buy with or without a degree in kinesiogloy or some form of sport / exercise science.

Content was helpful but this book needed a proofreader.
Look closely at the cover... Do you see it? The word "education" is spelled incorrectly. Seriously? If that were the only thing wrong with this book, I could almost forgive them. We bought this for my husband to study for the TExES exam to be certified in PE. He did pass the test and yes, honestly this book was a big help. But it was so hard to get around the errors. The book was seriously lacking in a good editor. The quizzes, for example, had the incorrect answers listed as correct. The CONTENT was correct, but if you just graded yourself looking at A, B, C, D as your answers, you'd think you got right ones wrong and wrong ones right. You had to read the data and not just do a quick grading. This book was painful and would have gotten a single star if he hadn't passed the test.****** UPDATEThe cover here now looks different than the one we bought. They managed to spell "education" right at least. Hopefully the content has improved as well....

2008 book that needs to be updated, I took the test and..
Unfortunately I did not passed it.Its and old edition, years have passed and the content of the test might have changed. I have purchased books of the same author before that have helped me out on my testing scores, however this book let me down.Since Sharon Wayne its not likely to go over and take the tests so she can update her editions, my recommendation to you go ahead and buy the book, but do NOT rely completely on it, and looked for a 2nd or even a 3er option. It does have errors on its redaction, but I believe that this must be the signature of XAMonline, Inc. whom continually fails on doing their job, seems like they just pushed "print" instead of having someone there reviewing our books before they come out.
