Bass still good, but roll-off when going down. Mid and treble not bad for a budget earphone like this.Built quality must be better for the cable. However, It's a best choice to replace most of stock earphone for mp3 player and cellphone.

I'll be honest, I liked these headphones. I thought the sound quality was good and they were cheap, which was important to me at the time. Unfortunately, they only lasted a few months, the construction is extremely poor. After only a few weeks the plastic covering on one of the earbuds just fell off and was lost. No biggie, they still sounded great, but I was a little worried about the exposed wire. Now, however, the sound on the left earbud has completely failed. The plastic sheath covering the wire at the base on the Y split came off after a while, exposing the wire underneath. Soon afterwards the sound just stopped, nothing I could do about it. You should know that these earbuds have never been pocketed or put through any kind of severe wear and tear, they just sit on my desk most of the time. I can't believe they fell apart so easily. Do yourself a favor and buy a different pair, one that will last, even if it does cost more!

I bought this product to plug in airplane rides and listen to quick tunes on my laptop. I don't care if I lose them like my more expensive earbuds. You cannot beat the price $5, but I would not say it's an enhanced Bass. If you are looking for affordable everyday beater headphones then this is your product, but overall I am happy.

I read the reviews and i decided to try them out and see for myself hoping i would get some luck. Just as the customers stated they didn't last 6 mos. The bass and sound quality were decent, the silver part fell off, the wires started showing and the black coating around the wire of the cord broke in several places. I didn't use the head phones often maybe 3 times out the month. I didn't get upset because i paid like 6 bucks roughly. Bottom line u pay for what you get.

The MEElectronics SX-31-BK Ear Buds are great. They produce surprisingly good sound at a very reasonable cost. I use them with my iPhone 5 on the subway and the sound just comes through cleanly and clearly despite all the background noise. My one slight concern is their longevity. I've gone through about 4 pairs in less than 2 years but that may be due t nearly daily use up to 3 hours a day. The plastic covering the wire right where it enters the ear bud has frayed and exposes the wire. Maybe it's due to my pulling them out of tight jean pockets all the time. But again, just a super sound for the little price you pay. Very happy.

The sound is okay, the comfort not bad. But they are about as poorly constructed as imaginable. After just a couple of weeks, bare wires -- very light gauge wire, at that -- becomes exposed right below the fitting where the two earphone wires merge into a single cable. From that point on, it's just a matter of days before the earbuds fail. I bought several of these when they were on sale for an incredibly cheap price, and consider them virtually disposable. My guess is that, even with light use, you'd need about 15 of them to make it through one year.

These earphones are good. Bass is strong, and the earphones are sturdy and don't break if you take care of them properly. These earphones are indeed the best earphones at this price and better than earphones at best buy listed at $10.To make things simple, check [...] for these earphones and look at the average customer rating, reviews, and amount of reviews. Afterwards, compare the prices and buy whichever is cheaper for you.The only problem I'd say is that most earphones have gold plated 3.5 mm jacks that increase the quality of the signal. These don't. However, it's highly negligible.

The plastic chrome accents came off as soon as I opened the package. Sounds only mediocre with a bad design. The better headset is the MEElectronics M9P.
