I wish it was 'smart' and had an app to make custom sounds, the ones offered are really 'throw away' BUT it has 1 or 2 standard sounds. The battery lasts pretty long and the receiver is very loud WITH the option to adjust the volume. We don't have a 'door bell' like in a house, and often mailmen will knock way too quietly or in such a way you never have time to reach them. This bell lets everyone know someone is at the door, especially the mailman. Sometimes they'll knock, I'll spring to my feet, get my slippers on, and race to the door, that took all of 10-30 seconds? They're gone. With one press the bell rings like three times which kind of stun-locks the mailman into waiting for the bell to finish which often gives me enough time to catch these elusive creatures. Some of them have wised up and don't even press the button. But we're not allowed to talk about that right?Im not 100% sure about the range but I have no reason to distrust it, but anyway, with the adjustable volume this can go in any room anywhere in the house or apartment, I suggest putting it somewhere in the central hallway or near the rooms so everyone can hear it. My younger sister has this annoying habit of letting me answer the door every time. Just because Im reliable doesn't mean I relish the chance to answer the door. So I started just delaying until I hear her door open, I know she's secretly waiting to hear my door open. lazy bugger.If you're already thinking about being in need of a bell then just get it. It's very likely you do. And if you haven't really had one before, I know you'll be surprised how much this improves that aspect of life when you're home. Set up really is a snap. Just be sure to clean the surface you will stick this on very thoroughly. Squeaky clean.

The media could not be loaded.  OMG you guys this is amazing! So we moved into our house that has the old intercom system. HATE it by the way. We can't just switch it out with a normal door bell so that blows. We have even wanted to get google doorbell or nest or something that is wired. But we can't because of the stupid com.Well our basement was not finished at the same time so no door bell down there. I have missed a few people at the house coming to buy something from offer up or the pizza guy waiting. Because we just couldn't hear the bell when we were down there. And we are in the basement during game time. So really hard to hear even when intercom is all the way up.So until my husband can figure out a more permanent solution. We are using this in the basement and just having 2 bells. So either my husband figures out a new wired system or we get more speakers for each level of the house, which would be fine because this works just fine! But I would like to have the video doorbell, so for now this is a great easy fix! And it is the holiday season so mine is currently xmas songs, after I will choose a normal bell sound.

I like this doorbell quite a lot. My only problem is that it is not loud enough, especially for my husband, who is elderly and hard of hearing. I can only use the basic ring because it is the loudest of them all. I would like to buy another wall unit so I can have it ring on two levels of my house.Other than that, it is fine.

Bought to replace my broken doorbell I bought a year ago. This one has better button design (I do not pay attention to design on plug-in module because it connected in hidden place under cabinet but still have good design as well). A lot of melodies. I still use default one (classic doorbell sound). Very loud, I lowered the volume on one step down thanks to volume control. Possibility of easy installation with screws or no screws (double side tape is included).Overall good quality doorbell for your basic needs if you are not ready for video versions.

I bought this for my dog to ask to go outside. We put the button on the floor and plugged in the chime - super easy. There are multiple sounds and volumes to choose from.We've had it in use for two years and have had no problems!I'm back to buy two sets for my parents' house - upstairs and downstairs. Different sounds for each.

My husband recently fractured his neck and it’s hard for him to get up. I needed a way for him to call me whenever he gets up. This solved our problem, no matter where I am in the house I can hear him when he needs me. Works perfectly for us.

This was ordered to use by our church library for curb side pick up while everything is pretty much closed down. It was pretty easy to set up and is easy to use. We remove the base from the outlet at the end of the day and it is ready to go when we plug it back in the next time. Even though the most accessible outlet is outside the library doors, it is loud enough we can hear it. For us the only problem is finding a way to place it outside the building for use but not permanently attach it because we hope to be able to return to allowing people inside at some point. Until then, this helps keep people reading.

I bought this for an attention getter in a classroom- be ware that this only pays like 30 second long songs, it doesn’t have short chimes! (Other than one ding-dong) I liked the seasonal melodies, super cute, just wish it had more short tones.
