Simple to read and affordable. If you are new to the Bible, this is a good place to start. Also nice for casual reading. This translation is geared for common and easy to understand language! CEV was my first Bible translation when I first started studying the Bible as a teen.If you are looking for a more literal, word-for-word translation, there are better versions such as the NASB or ESV.

If you are like me and have a hard time following and understanding NIJ, King James, etc this is the Bible for you! It is written in a way that is still true to the Bible, but easy to follow. For the price, it's perfect!
