Oneida Digital Probe Thermometer with TImer

Love this thermometer! The one that I had broke after years of use. This is nice and simple. One prong, alarm if needed, long wire to reach from oven to thermometer on counter. Very accurate. You can set by time or temperature or both. Actually bought two - just in case!

DO NOT USE IN GRILL. This is my 3 time purchasing. One time I was able to get a new probe because they honored the Life time Warranty when probe stop working. So save your paper work and box cuz the probe stops working in about a year. But on my second one the Life time warranty phone number wasn't there and I was unable to find the right number to call. I got impatient and purchased another one.. So I have had this same brand about 10 years. Learned to keep my info to replacement. DON'T use in GRILL you will melt the probe cord and that is YOUR fault..lol. But it works great and when the warranty it it works even better

All parts of this are durable to not melt when in the oven for hours at a time. The magnets on the back of the screen make it super easy to place in multiple convenient locations. The angle on the probe allows for perfect insertion to exactly where it needs to fit. The cord is long enough to help too. Wonderful product

This was a replacement of the exact same unit I had for many years.....they have only upgraded the "look" a little, but has the same easy to use functions that are essential when you're cooking meats. Probably the number one item in my kitchen.

This is my second thermometer of this style. I use it every time I bake chicken—no more mystery meat temps! Now my chicken is perfectly cooked and juicy every time. My only note is that I wish the thermometer probe had a more sturdy wire covering. It says that using it in high oven temps can damage the wire. That seems counterproductive. But overall, this product is very easy to use and I like that it is magnetic so I can put it on my oven door.

I can't even remember when I bought the one I now own at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was at least ten years ago, probably more like 15. After all these years of hard use, the old one sometimes has to be whacked to read in F rather than C, and just the other day the alarm did not sound when the set temperature was reached. I can't have that happen when I'm reverse-searing a filet mignon. I hope this new one lasts and works as well as the old one.

I've had one of these for years. Is it accurate - it works for me I. I'm not a testing agency.Meat that is overcooked gets tough. With this unit I set the desired temperature so an alarm goes off when reached. Easy.Someone here pinched the cord of my old unit in the oven door cutting it. So watch out how you thread it through the door opening and it will work well for a long time.

Very easy to use and accurate. I like using the alarm to tell me the food has reached the proper temperature better that setting a timer to check the temp. Just remember not to let the tip of probe touch the pan while it's baking. Also, there were several comments about it only reading in Celsius. On the back, lower left side, there is a very tiny switch that allows you to change it to Fahrenheit. This is a must have gadget in my kitchen.
