Casio is definately a company to be depended on. Have had Casios for over three decades. The last longer than the fassions change so no worries.This watch tells the time, easy to to adjust, has a really nice feature I have not met before on a wrist watch which is a silent alarm that just vibrates for about ten seconds on your wrist - comes in useful for waking up without bothering or waking up my wife, or for alarms during meetings.The light is bright (be aware it is white light (in case you are using this in a military setting).The size is nice. Large enough for a grown man's wrist with good size numbers (for those of us over 50 where reading starts becoming an issue).The wrist band sits nicely, and even when sweating during excercise or hiking - does not feel sticky or uncomfortable. It only comes in black without other color options.While not a G-shock - it seems pretty rugged and has been banged around quite a bit. The look is very similar to that of G-shock. More sporty than elegant.I don't like smart/sports watches because of the need to charge them- This one cans stay on the wrist for ten years without a problem.

Bought it for the vibrating alarm and that works fine. May be a setting I haven’t found, but wish the light stayed on for a few seconds without having to hold light button. Good watch for a reasonable price.

I was reading the reviews, and some people were complaining about the durability, and I was like "It's a Gshock, what were you even doing to it? How the heck did you manage to break/damage it so quickly??". Well what do you know. I managed to scratch it. ON THE VERY FIRST DAY. I was at school and I was putting on my backpack, and for some reason, the watch kept on catching on the straps of my backpack. Since I take my backpack off and put it back on a lot, Eventually the watch face got scratched up a little bit. Keep in mind that the scratch is very minor and small and almost unoticeable, but it is still there, and won't go away no matter how many times I try polishing it/washing the face of the watch. To sum up, G-Shocks are not indestructable, please be careful with them if you do buy one, but honestly, it can't get much better than this. Amazing audible and haptic alarm, a little bit complicated setup, and amazing build quality. All at under 30 bucks. What more could you want?

I think this Casio watch would be great even if it didn’t have a 10-year battery. I know there’s a disclaimer with these 10-year batteries that if you use the light feature very often it will reduce the overall battery life but I’m not too concerned about that. The vibrating alarm feature is handy—you can set the alarm to vibrate only for a discreet reminder that no one else will be aware of as they would be if it was set to audible alarm beep. Also, I’ve had great luck with Casio watches over the year being durable and extremely accurate timepieces. It’s a big watch case but I was prepared for that. Great value for the money.

I took this watch with me in Coast Guard bootcamp and it took such a beating, I never took it off even when we swam and took showers and vibration alarm woke me up all the time to get a head start in the mornings. Recommend this watch 100%
