Two things you need to know about this product
Two things you need to know about this product:¹ It has to be plugged in to a USB power source at all times.² You can only pair it with one bluetooth receiver at a time. These aspects weren't specified on the sales page, and I would have spent another five or ten bucks on a different device that did, had I known. Using it on the television only lets you use it, nobody else can pair their headphones to it while it's in use. And I had hopes to use it for an old ipod, as my best headset is wireless, but that means that the ipod had to be near a USB port, making it decidedly not portable.Other than that, the upsides: the sound quality is good (only a slight delay, which is only noticable if the audio on the device/ TV is set up in such a way to also being pumped through an external speaker), and the pairing is automatic, so no button pressing etc.. also this transmitter is cheap.

It's like rolling the dice on whether it works.
I thought I received a defective transmitter at first because the first two headphones I tried (ones that connect quickly and easily to everything I have) didn't pair. I spent around 15 minutes trying to get either one going but they won't connect. I was going to do a return but then thought I'd try other headphones that I don't use much anymore. The oldest of them that's around 5 years old paired quickly. Then I tried a few more older and newer ones and some paired and some didn't. No Rhyme or reason, it didn't seem to matter the version of Bluetooth any of them used. I tried out one of them that paired and the sound worked well and I didn't see any syncing delay that others have mentioned. But then after around 3 minutes it lost connection, the transmitter and headphones are only around 6 feet apart and nothing obstructing them. They re-connected again after a minute but then lost connection a minute later. Other headphones that paired did the same thing. I even tried moving the transmitter to a different location but same problems. Seems like from reviews it's like flipping a coin whether these will work or not. I'll either exchange these in hopes of getting one that works or return it for another product.

Cheap plastic crap.
They don’t work. I bought them to connect to my airpods, and they never connect. I dug out an old Wicked Reach receiver, and it never connects either. I could get it to connect to my Alexa for a little while, but then it would suddenly stop working for no reason and need to be unplugged and plugged back in. Don’t believe all the reviews about “excellent customer service” either; I contacted them through Amazon, and never heard a word back.

if this is what you want it works
This unit is to transmit only audio to your BT headphones. It does do that.. The problem I had with it was that when you turn off your headphones the next time you turn them on you have to rebind them again. It does not remember them. This might take a minute or two very annoying. The other one I had would instantly connect with the headphones when they were turned on so it is possible to do.

You cannot get a refund for a defective product
Connection to bluetooth device is selectively random and rare. Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't. Even then will not stay connected. Sound also lags behind broadcast. YOU CANNOT GET A REFUND TO YOUR METHOD OF PURCHASE. Apparently only an exchange or gift card from amazon...EVEN if the device is defective. The 1 page user manual is NOT a manual. It is basically a 4x11 page set up instruction.

Will NOT Pair with 2 different headphones.
Pro's - Price USB for power supportCon's - Will not do it's #1 job, pair with headphones.Blue light blinks but will not pair with 2 different sets of headphones. One set is a cheap pair from Monoprice and the other is a more expensive pair by Cowin. Tried using it on 2 different Sony TV's and even my PC and they would not pair...Interestingly, one of my Sony TV's has built in Bluetooth and initially I failed to turn it off and it did pair with my TV. After I turned off the TV Bluetooth it would not pair with either set of headphones. Both sets of headphones DID pair with my TV's built in Bluetooth, so the headphones don't appear to be the problem.FWIW, it seems the various iterations of Bluetooth that are supposed to be backward compatible are not. At least these didn't cost a lot of $ but I would rather have spent the $'s on a nice burger!Ursa

didn't work for me
Hi, this product didn't work to connect my wireless headset to my non-smart TV. I was able to charge it and turn it on but that's as far as I got. I tried all the USB portals on my TV and nothing worked. Luckily I have a fire stick which allows you to connect other Bluetooth devices to watch tv. But my head set and tv didn't seem to connect with this item. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.I was going to return it but I kept it in order to try connecting with a tv that didn't already have a fire stick attached. If it works in the future I will change my rating.

It's an ok purchase, be aware of a noticable lag in audio when using.
I am a dj, and I was attempting to go wireless with Bose soundsport earbuds to use during my performances, but this has a half second to a full second of lag, so I can't use it, but it might become useful somewhere down the road, product is made of good quality. It needs to be plugged into a USB port in order to be powered on, there is no internal battery, which is unfortunate, description didn't mention it having a battery, so I am not surprised that is doesn't, came with a 2ft male to male 3.5mm wire, and a 2ft 3.5mm male to red and white rca male wire, it's an ok purchase.
