Lovely glossy polish
This is a really nice slate grey polish. You really need to use it with a base coat as otherwise it will stain your nails. I also apply a top coat as a matter of course but in truth this isn't necessary as the polish has a lovely gloss finish on its own. A single coat of colour is sufficient. What I like about Essie nail polish is that it goes on evenly owing to the brush and also is more chip resistant than most nail polishes.I have Sand Tropez from the same range - a sheer nude. Just as good but needs two coats for a light solid colour.

Nice Nail Polish
The product was used and tested by my wife whose comments and feedback were used as the basis for this review.Very nice nail polish, I have used several nail polishes from this brand and been happy with them so far. An interesting colour for me and not one I might ordinarily consider, an interesting shade of grey, not as dark as it first appears. Applies easily enough to give a smooth finish which is reasonably quick drying. Tough enough to prevent chips and last for several days depending on your routine.

Lasts well
This is a dark grey nail varnish - the appearance of the colour does depend on the light. It can appear both grey or black. It goes on well, and seems to have a smooth finish. I used it with a base coat. I found it lasted 4 days with minimal chipping, despite typing as part of my job.

Quickly became one of my favourites
(Written by my 17 year old)After getting this nail polish it quickly became one of my favourites, the grey fit well with my aesthetic and skin tone and worked very well as either a matte polish or with glitter or a glossy topcoat.This polish applies very smoothly, only taking two coats for full coverage, I found it dried in the same time as standard Essie polishes and could be sped up to about a minute and a half if using a UV lampOverall really good and I’ll probably buy again when it’s runs out

On mute
I have this in the colour On Mute. I apply two thinnish coats for a good coverage. The colour is really nice - a dark, dark grey. Less severe than pure black, but great for monotone colour fans like me!

Nice effect
This is a nice nail varnish which when applied did give a good matt grey finish. It applied easily and smoothly and I would happily use this again.
