Leifheit 82001 Rotary Dryer Linomatic 500 Deluxe

I was really excited about this concept. Unfortunately I think they cut too many corners in the construction of this product. Yes it is very lightweight, but who cares? It needs to withstand the elements - sun, wind, and rain. When the wind blows it starts to open up and I’m afraid it will snap the post near the bottom. So I take it down every time it rains or we get a strong wind.I poured concrete for the base and that part feels great.When you set this up, there are several holes so you can choose how taut to make the lines. I’ve been using the tightest one every time and even then the lines sag a little under the weight of a few shirts. If it gets any looser, I think the clothes will slide to the middle and touch each other. I’ve only had this for a month; I’ll update this review as time goes on.

Love most things about this clothesline. Not as easy to put up as described however lowering very easy. I use a Bungie cord to keep it stored tightly while not in use.

I do not use a clothes dryer; I line dry all our clothes year around. In Wisconsin that means drying indoors in the heart of winter. Even so I line dry outside 9-10 months a year. I have coated aluminum line cord on a fixed line in the backyard but wanted to supplement it. I line dry for environmental reasons; it is also better for clothes plus I was raised this way.This clothesline is a piece of art. It works flawlessly and hold a full load of lighter weight wash. The lines are fairly fine cord and I'd not recommend hanging heavy blankets or rugs on them. It is perfect for clothes, towels and sheets/pillow slips. It allows me to make better use of a sunny spot in my yard. The fact that you can collapse it when done is an enormous bonus. I also plan on bringing it inside for the worst of winter.I spent a lot of time looking at other outdoor clothes lines and this one is the best made. Well worth the money. It came very well packed with clear instructions in English. Made in Germany. I am proud to support the growing line drying community by recommending this clothesline.

I had my eyes on this product since I lived in Germany 10 years ago. Many Germans there use this model for drying their clothes outdoor even in the colder seasons. It is very easy to install. We bought the screw-in ground peg from Leifheit (to use on our lawn) but according to my husband, the original product comes already with a suitable part for the ground. It is easy to use (open and close) and the surface area for clothing is very large (great for large families). The design is pleasing in terms of proportion and everything functions well. We also purchased the original Leifheit linomatic nylon bag and I intend to take it out from the ground and cover it and store it in our garage. With proper care this will likely last a very long time.

Light weight but sturdy, so my wife can carry and set it up on her own. We have used it for a month now and have had no problems. Surprisingly strong in moderate winds (5-10 mph) with cloths on or off. Dislike that the locking mechanism is plastic and not a stronger material this part may wear out after time but so far so good.

I got rid of my ugly T-posts in the back yard and the 4 lines stretched across 20', making my yard look junky, and I took the plunge and got this fabulous dryer. It was simple to dig a hole, mix some sakrete and cement the holder into the ground. The dryer fits beautifully into the ground and is super easy to erect and let down. I can easily remove it and store it on my back porch out of the weather, if I want. However, just closing it protects the lines from rain during the warmer months. Today I hung one of my king-sized quilts out to dry and it fit just fine. I highly recommend this dryer.

This item was not sturdy. My installation was in an open area and the first wind that snuck up on us in the first use had the light weight materials used in the construction of the product to bend and ruin the device on the first day we used it. We had only ten garments on it and it broke when the wind came up.

Ein neuer Wäscheständer musste her - dieser ist es geworden. Er ist jetzt 2 Jahre im Einsatz (jaaaa, manche Bewertungen dauern etwas länger...) und ich freue mich bei jedem Einsatz darüber. Er steht dauerhaft draußen, manchmal mit Hülle, im Sommer meist ohne. Die Bänder sind nach wie vor sauber und stramm und werden ohne Probleme beim Zusammenklappen eingezogen. Die Bedienung ist einfach und ohne großen Kraftaufwand durchzuführen. Alle Materialien wirken auch nach zwei Jahren noch neuwertig, nichts ist ausgeblichen, ausgefranst oder kaputt. Ein sehr solider Wäscheständer, der trotzdem leicht ist und auch von kleinen Frauen gut transportiert werden kann. Ich finde den toll! Die 5 Sterne hat er verdient

Eine Leifheit- Wäschespinne aus Deutschland, vermutet man auch in Deutschland hergestellt, hat KEINE QUALITÄT mehr.Das Produkt ließ sich nur ein Stück öffnen. Haben dann mit etwas Öl den Stab eingeschmiert, war dann o.k. ,hatten aber den Eindruck, das dieses Produkt schon einmal jemand benutzte. Spuren der Verwendung gesehen.Man bekam es dann leicht auf, aber leider schloss diese Wäschespinne nicht vollständig, wie in der Werbung versprochen.Der Ärger an der ganzen Sache, Rücksendung auf eigene Kosten, bis auf 3,50€ , die man dann wohl zurück erhält.Das Produkt zurück zu schicken ist aber teuer, es ist sperrig. TRAURIG, ABER WAHR👎

As per the title, this replaced an existing identical model that had given over 15 good years of service, and, whilst still usable though a little tricky to get the lines to retract, was only really finished off by being left open for 9 months of the worst winter weather due to a number of personal events, causing the lines to become too dirty and mildewed to clean. Can't complain given the time we've had it!The current model seems to be of near identical construction to the 15 year old one, except the green plastic is now a continuous shaped piece and complete encloses the unit when shut, removing the need for a cover. The aluminium and plastic form an extremely strong combination. A velcro strap would be a nice addition to completely secure it when closed.Very easy to erect and collapse, even for my partner who is only 4ft 11in, and takes a LOT of washing, or a super king size wet duvet draped over the top which was its first use when we received it today (fitted straight into old identical socket from the previous one).I fully expect this one to have a similar lifespan to the previous one, so it's actually cheap even at the relatively high price.Probably the best rotary airer on the market in my opinion!

Das Produkt kommt in einer Folie eingeschweißt. Die Einschweißung hat leider den Deckel der Bodenhülse derart eingequetscht, dass er abgebrochen ist.Naja, macht mir nicht soviel, da ich schon eine einbetonierte Bodenhülse hatte. Sollte aber dennoch nicht vorkommen.Das Aufspannen der Leinen ist kinderleicht und das Fassungsvermögen der Leinen gigantisch.Was mich an dem Produkt stört, und was schließlich zur Abwertung führte, sind folgende Punkte:Die Wäscheleinen sind sehr dünn und glatt. Sie versprechen keine lange Haltbarkeit.Das betrifft auch die Ziehseile. Ich glaube nicht, dass man im Problemfall irgendetwas selber reparieren kann...Der Kunststoff, also die grüne Ummantelung, wirkt billig und es kommen Zweifel an der UV-Beständigkeit auf.Die Vernietung der Tragarme mit der Führung am Holm wirkt wenig Vertrauen erweckend. Hohlnieten, umgebördelt,versprechen kein langes Leben. Eine Vollniete, durchgesteckte Metallachse oder so hätte ich besser gefunden.Aber: Ich lasse mich gerne eines Besseren belehren wenn der Wäscheschirm in zwei Jahren immer noch funktionsfähig ist gibt es eine Verbesserung der Rezension !

Ich hatte die letzten 20 Jahre auch eine Wäschespinne von Leifheit die 365 Tage im Jahr immer offen im Garten stand. Da sie sich leider nicht mehr zusammenklappen lies und auch nicht mehr so schön anzusehen war musste eine neue her, und die sollte wieder von Leifheit sein.Ich bin von der Qualität dieser Spinne absolut überzeugt. Sie macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck und ist gut verarbeitet. Das Aufspannen ist kinderleicht und die Zuklappautomatik funktioniert auch einwandfrei. Die Wäscheleinen werden ohne Probleme und sanft eingezogen. Wir haben sie mit der mitgelieferten Bodenhülse aufgestellt. Sie steht auch bei einseitiger Belastung sehr stabil und lässt sich leicht drehen.Zwei Kritikpunkte habe ich allerdings:Sie könnte höher sein. Die Spinne steht an einer schmalen Stelle im Garten, wenn ich im Aufgespannten Zustand daran vorbeigehen möchte muss ich mich ducken, und ich bin mit 1,73 cm kein Riese. Das äußere Ende der vier „Ausleger“ ist genau auf der richtigen Höhe dass ich immer mit dem Kopf dagegen laufe.Wohin mit dem Wäscheklammernkorb? Soviel ich gesehen habe gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten den Korb (auch im zusammengefalteten Zustand der Wäschespinne) anzubringen – Die Kleiderbügelhalter (Löcher an den Enden der Ausleger) oder in der Mitte bei der Aufspannvorrichtung.Leider ist für unseren Wäscheklammernkorb nichts davon geeignet. Das Loch der Kleiderbügelhalter ist zu klein für den Haken unseres Wäschekorbes, und das Loch der Aufspannvorrichtung ist zu breit. Bei beiden passt der Haken des Korbes nicht durch.Ich habe nun ein Stück Schnur durch das Loch der Aufspannvorrichtung gefädelt und den Korb daran angebunden – funktioniert ist aber nicht ideal. Und schön auch nicht.Da hätte man sich auch was überlegen können.Allerdings ist das jammern auf hohem Niveau. Ich würde die Wäschespinne trotzdem wieder kaufen.
