In the 28th Season of The Amazing Race at least one team member was required to be a social media star, which included: Erin White Robinson and Joslyn Davis, YouTube hosts for the news and entertainment channel Clevver; teammates professional frisbee players Kurt Gibson and Brodie Smith a YouTuber; Vine personality Zach King and wife Rachel; and Instagram models and friends Jessica Versteeg and Brittany Oldehoff (Miss Florida USA, 2014). Instead of a traditional Starting Line, teams received a video message from Phil Keoghan informing them that the Race had already begun. The sprint kicked in, traversing 27,000 miles across 18 cities and 10 countries including first time visits to Colombia, Georgia and Armenia. The racers faced various challenges, including submerging themselves in a mud bath on top of Colombia’s El Totumo volcano, assembling a Swiss Army knife from twenty-seven individual pieces in Switzerland, using bicycles to race against camels in Dubai, and carrying live pythons around their necks in Indonesia. *Outstanding Reality Competition Program Emmys® - 2014, 2012, 2011, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003

Best Show, Worst Season
Amazing Race is my favorite show by far, but this season is annoying to watch thanks to all of the contestants being attention starved youtubers who love to SCREAM in the camera every chance they get. Most of them acting like immature children with ADHD. You end up hoping that most of them get eliminated. Thankfully season 29 is much better.

The DVDs work!
Like many, I have had problems with several of the Amazing Race DVDs (like season 20- 26ish). The good news is, these DVDs work on the same DVD player that the other ones wouldn't work on. Amazon seems to have solved the problem. My only wish is that this season and 29 would have gotten a blu-ray release, as I had started buying those in lieu of the regular DVDs. :(

Hooked on the characters and non stop action
Ok. The race is great at giving the participants incredibly difficult jobs to do. It is sometimes difficult to see how the first to the finish did it. But then the hour goes by so enjoyably that it doesn't matter. Took me awhile to get hooked on the non stop action but once hooked on action, welll

Tuned in too late and had to replace my Amazing Race fix. Can't get broader broadband in our area so had a lot of stops. Not bad considering that we can't even get Amazon's video because of it.

What a season!
I will probably never be able to afford to travel around the world, but the Amazing Race at least gives me a glimpse of some of the most beautiful places on Earth. Good teams, great locations, and excellent production values this season.

Best season in a while
This was a very entertaining season. I really enjoyed the different personalities. Amazing race has gotten a little more boring and challenges almost seem too easy now. They did a good job changing it up though
