Megaseat Infant Floor Seat with Safety Belt, Brilliant Blue

So far it works relatively well, but as other reviewers have pointed out, it seems to push them forward a bit, which is both awkward and messy since it seems to encourage more spit-up. We put a book under the front to tilt her back. Maybe this will get better as she grows longer and leaner - right now she's a chunky 3-month old! The safety instructions say minimum 4-months, but I know the daycares start babies in Bumbos around 2-months, so I'm not sure why the difference. We only put her in it a few minutes at a time right now. Also, she seems to completely fill it out at only 3-months and she's average height and weight for her age, so I hope she doesn't grow out of it too soon.

My baby outgrew his bumbo seat before he could even use it. He is in the 95th percentile for height & weight. So when he was around 3 months and able to hold his head up properly we tried to sit him in the bumbo. Unfortunately we couldn't even wedge him in the seat. I found this Megaseat and read the reviews which said it worked for bigger babies. It certainly did. It was the perfect size for my big baby. He didn't like to sit in it but that he was just being finicky. The seat is exactly as described and is great for chubby monkey's. I'll keep it for my next one.

We chose this over the bumbo because of the roomier leg room in case our baby grew large thighs. Our now 3-month old loves sitting in this chair. It's recommended for four months and up but our son was able to hold his head up at an early age. The person who wrote the one star review probably didn't realize you have to adjust the strap length under the chair. It's made of a foam rubber like material which had a strong odor when it came out of the package but you just need to air it out for a few days. Great chair but wished it came in more color options.

We have a love/hate relationship with this seat. Love that it fit my super chunk baby's thunder thighs and was nice and supportive while he was learning to sit up (~3 months old).....however.....I'm not sure if it's the position or just that the seat is so relaxing but we dubbed it 'the poopin' seat' for a reason! Unfortunately, since he was sitting on a relatively firm surface, he had blowouts almost every time and almost always needed a bath after! X-) The good part was if he was having a particularly gassy day (mommy doesn't always watch her diet as well as she should!) it helped get everything out pretty quickly! lolIn other words: Get the seat - but - beware! ;-)

My little girl is in the 5% for weight and 50% for height, so she's long and lean and has done well in the seat. I love the high back and arm rests. It seems to dip down a little for her to settle into the seat. She seemed to sit well in it from day one. The seat belt is fine, I have not found it awkard. The detachable tray is a must have. It is lightweight, easy to move around and stable. My little on seems comfortable in it, she loves her Mega seat! The color selection isn't as great as the Bumpo, but for once I went with function over style. It was the right choice. Go Mega!

Our oldest daughter had some seriously adorable and totally chunky legs. All of her rolls made finding a chair that she would fit in hard to find. The Megaseat was the answer to all of our problems! Her legs fit into the leg openings with room to spare!Our youngest is a very petite baby yet she still can use this Megaseat and be well supported too.This is a perfect seat for babies of all sizes and especially those adorable chunky ones!

We got two of these seats for our twins. They were awesome from 4 to about 8 months, especially before the twins were solid sitters. My babies were in the 80th and 90th percentiles for height and weight and fit easily into these chairs. The leg opening were no problem. Definitely not necessary but useful and fun baby gear.

Nice chair! I have the mamas and papas chair that I used when my 3 yr old was a baby and I'm using it again for my new baby but I needed a chair for my parents house...I went with this one because the back is higher than on the m&p chair. It is very nice & I also like how it is a little softer...I would recommend. The one thing I thought I would like about the m&p chair is the insert that comes out so it will grow with your child...well by the time your baby is old enough to not need the insert...you also don't need the chair. You really need something with straps so I like this chair better.
