Didn't expect what I got, here's why...
Okay people, we're talking about a little portable speaker. Less than three inches tall, less than three inches in diameter. Doesn't look like anything high tech, and it's not expensive. Here's what I was expecting, and here's what I got.1. I was expecting a little speaker, maybe a little louder than my Samsung Galaxy S3. I wanted something louder than my phone for when I am in the shower, when I'm in the kitchen cooking, or folding laundry in the laundry room. I was expecting this speaker to sound a little tinny, maybe have some static with the Bluetooth connection. I was also expecting to have to use the audio jack to get as close to a static free sound as possible.2. I got a little portable speaker that is AWESOME! Deep, rich bass, a range easily more than the 30 feet promised, easy Bluetooth connection, amazing volume, zero static with Bluetooth, and top of the line quality. I put the speaker on my computer desk that stands in the back corner of our living room. Very back of the house. I walked all over the first floor and not only could I still hear the music, the volume held true and No Static.3. When you hold the speaker in your hand with music playing, you can actually feel the quality. By that, I mean it just about vibrated out of my hand. I was concerned that it might vibrate right off the counter or whatever surface I put it on, but it doesn't, thanks to the non-skid ring on the bottom. Also, the non-skid ring keeps it from vibrating on said surface so no unwanted noise there.4. You can hook it up to just about anything. It worked right out of the box for me. All I did was turn the speaker on, turn on my Bluetooth, and tap on the T3 icon once my phone found it. Took maybe all of 45 seconds. After playing with it for a few minutes, I plugged in the included audio jack and again, clear, pure sound with no problems. I even plugged the audio jack into an old Walkman, (I may be giving my age away here) and played an old Slayer tape through it. Sounded amazing!Helpful Hint: I went into the settings on the music player on my phone and changed the sound from Auto to Pop or Rock. It made a big difference in the sound, to me, and I go between the Pop and Rock setting depending on my mood, meaning what I'm listening to. I like everything from classical to Korn.I am no expert on speakers, I'm just a nurse. However, I do know what sounds good and this sounds really good. I am not disappointed at all, I'm really thrilled with this purchase. All my kids, family, and friends will be getting this speaker for birthdays this year. Highly recommend, and will be purchasing again.

A lot of quality per dollar, a good buy
Before you buy this speaker after seeing my 5 stars, don't misinterpret it as "this product is amazing and is a must-buy". This speaker brings you plenty of quality for $25, but don't think you've got a Devialet Phantom in your hands. This statement translates to a surprisingly high quality portable speaker for the price and a very efficient buy that will satisfy most audiences, but if you or the person you're gifting is VERY nitpicky with sound quality, you should look for something more expensive. In other words, you get what you pay for, and in my eyes, this product gives enough quality for the $25 to deserve 5 stars. With that in mind, here's my review:The outside:The bottom pad produces plenty of friction, and even at relatively steep angles, it won't make the speaker fall off. It's not spider silk, though, so don't do something as silly as putting it on a wall, but for most people in most situations, this speaker will handle the surface and angle easily. The size is compact, and it won't get in the way. I bought the speaker for my gaming PC so that whenever I don't feel like using a headset to listen to music, I can use this. And with my setup, I have it set on top of the stand of an ASUS VG248QE monitor, right below the screen itself, and the speaker fits very snugly. If you're thinking of having a single speaker for your desktop PC, this pair works very well. The sound:Getting to the sound quality itself, it's actually kind of underwhelming at default settings. If your computer or your smartphone has an equalizer, USE IT. Under the right settings, you WILL get a very clean sound. (Refer to my picture for a big improvement on a PC in a standard bedroom, but keep in mind I'm no professional, so don't take this as the full optimization or your best choice.) For those of you who like a lot of bass, this speaker will produce enough of it to satisfy most, but it's not built to produce a crazy amount. The static:But never turn the speaker to a high volume as that will produce static. Try maxing out the volume on your computer/smartphone FIRST, then raise the volume of the speaker as needed. Also, keep in mind that the speaker faces up, so if you suddenly get static, it might be from dust collecting on it, so maintenance is also key.The portability:Its compact size makes it an easy fit for most situations, but that's not all to portability. As for cord management, if your device has Bluetooth, you don't even need cords. But if you need to recharge the speaker and you want to play some sound with a non-Bluetooth device (yes, you can do that), both the power cord and 3.5mm cord slots are on the same side of the speaker, so cord management should be easy business, especially since both are relatively thin and flexible. The bad:I don't really get why there's a power switch, since I would prefer if the device automatically turns off if it's not connected. I mean, it doesn't keep track of time or anything, so I feel that there's no need to have a manual on/off switch. And something nitpicky on my end, there's an LED light that is either red (not connected), blue (Bluetooth), or green (3.5mm connected). Since there's no light customization, being forced to use the green light for my blue LED themed gaming PC setup is kind of annoying.
