It comes as a "deconstructed" Spider-Man which is customizable from the included parts.The head, legs and arms detach, letting you mix and match heads, arms and legs from other Super Hero Mashers sets.The figure has 9 points of articulation and has a twistable torso. There are plenty of accessories / battle gear to accompany the figure.Mixing and matching parts from action figures is probably something I did as a kid and this at least lets you do it in an official capacity. So I think the concept is good.There are lots of little parts so be prepared to help find lost pieces.I would recommend this for any Marvel Avengers fan - just simple fun.

This is a really cool toy. We have two mashers and the best part is that my daughter and her cousin can mix and match the parts, making a totally unique super hero to play with.The figures are hardy - they stand up to tough play - and come with various parts that you can use to customize its look.Parents of littles will want to know that there are small pieces which definitely constitute a choking hazard. The pieces snap together easily. The resident seven-year-old had no problem putting them together and taking them apart on her own.A truly fun toy. Just be prepared to buy at least one more masher to go with it!

I like the concept of this toy better than the actual toy. Maarvel Avenger Super Hero Mashers allow you to swap parts among the different set which is an interesting idea and gives more room for play. In our house, sdets like this are treatred more as models, and being fans of the traditional super heroes, have to say that I barely recognize this one. I don't know that I would have introduced my kids to this spiderman. It reminds me more of one of the WWF wrestling figures than a super hero. That said, if you are a fan of the traditional spiderman you aree likely to be disappointed in how he has been beefed up. On the other hand, if you and you kids are more familiar with the new super-charged spider man this will not be an issue.In terms of play value, this set has more than most action figures. It includes a dozen parts which are interchangeable with other sets (to include an extra head). The parts are substantial and should hold up to play. However, most are quite small. The package recommend this for ages 4 up, but cautions not to give it to children under 4 because it is a chocking hazard. While I have seen that on many things, sometimes in cases where it is laughable, in this case it absolutely is. I don't think I would give it to a child as young as 4 to play with except under supervision. You are also going to want something to round all the small parts up in or this could create a number of hazards and the parts could get lost pretty quickly.I personally would have rated it 2 or 3 stars as a spiderman figure because it is so beefed up it is almost a grotesque, not much resembling the spiderman I know, but gave a star back for innovation and exetended play value. My kids grew up with lots of different building toys, and while this doesn't encourage creativity to the extent that an open-ended set of legos LEGO Brick Box (6161) , tinkertoys Tinkertoy 100 Piece Essentials Value Set , lincoln logs K'Nex Lincoln Logs 100th Anniversary Tin Building Set or Erector Meccano-Erector - Super Construction Set, 25 Models, 640+ Parts does, it is still more interactive and allows more room to explore than your average action figure.

This is a great toy. The masher thing is funny, it's just pieces from other superheros. This is not to be played around babies and animals. My little puppy started to go after one of the little heads. My son is 5 and the Spiderman thing is kind of our family thing. Every time he does something wrong, I tell him my "spidey' sense is telling me that he did it. So this toy was just great. He is having a good time putting the different pieces on and spinning the mashed up Spiderman. We have lots of other superhero toys so my son is enjoying saving his own imaginary city and fighting off the other superheros. I do love a toy where imagination is the power. It's fun to sit and watch and even more fun to play in your kids imaginery world. Well done and well made toy

Great little toy and my son loves it...however, one of the leg joints is loose and the leg falls off easily. Nothing appears to be wrong with the toy as we have many mashers and it looks just like the rest. The leg is just comes off much easier than I think it's meant to. I'm going to have to purchase another for back up I guess. Bummer

This Spiderman Masher has a cool concept in that it includes several small, interchangeable pieces - not just with this action figure but with other Marvel superheroes in the line. I would recommend getting a small case to hold the pieces, but this is a wonderful toy for ages 4+ who love action figures and superheroes. It is easy for little hands to make the changes, and encourages them to use their imagination (i.e. superhero battles with unconventional accessories - i.e. Spiderman with a hulk fist, Captain America with Spiderman's web). My 3.5 year old son is a bit young for this toy still, but my older nephews and 6 year old daughter enjoy it.
