Hunter59453 Minimus Ceiling Fan 44 inches Matte Black

I finally found a fan I like! Love the style, the size, and the light, actually. I was concerned when I read the reviews indicating the light was too dim but, as you can see, it is perfectly bright for this room (about 12x14 ft). It works really well, and it’s very quiet at at full speed. The remote and its buttons are a bit unpredictable though and, on the slow fan setting, it makes this clicking noise that I truly hope we can fix because that’s our preferred setting . I’ll post an update once we do fix it (or don’t).REVISED: The clicking sound fixed itself. We installed a second fan (52 in) in our family room where it does not look as bright, but it still is an excellent, modern, low profile fan

This is the second I have ordered. So quiet and fit close to ceiling. Light is not real bright which works for me. I light to leave it on at night as the rooms are rather large that I have them in. I like that they are simple and unassuming. I have one in our den and putting one between kitchen and dining room to replace a can light as the room is 12' wide and 30' long and all one room with a fireplace at the end of dining area. Just felt it needed some circulation as I do cook and bake a lot. Plus there is only 1 A/C-heat register. I ordered the black because my other lights are black and very simple also. I love this fan light!! Remote is small and easy to use. I have installed many lights and fans but I did have a handy man install this. Hard for me with arthritis to do much heavy overhead work any more.

Overall it's a nice fan that is indeed quite but the light is too dim even at it's brightest setting. I'm hoping that Hunter has a fix for this.

I installed this fan on Easter weekend and we are now approaching Christmas. My main concern in choosing a fan was the potential noise because I prefer a silent room to sleep in. This fan is great. There is obviously air noise if it's turned up high, but lowering it at night keeps the air moving enough to feel it and reduces the noise significantly. Every now and then there is a clicking that happens that is caused from the wires for the light hitting the blades. I just need to open it up and secure them out of the way which I haven't done. The light isn't super bright so beware if you are wanting that. I am a little concerned about how to replace the donut looking light bulb when it's time, but not enough to research it yet. The installation was easy peasy once I replaced the electrical box to be fan supported (replacing the box is a different story.....check into that before you tear things apart!) I would recommend this fan to anyone!

Looks great on the ceiling. Motor is whisper quiet. I had an electrician install this so I cant comment on installation. I love the fan!

The media could not be loaded.  Easy installation of this ceiling fan. It works as it should. The LED light has a dimming feature and works great.Although, the fan did not fit flush against the ceiling. I will have to find a molding to put around it. Hunter does not make a ceiling molding for this unit.The remote is black????? Why when ordering a white ceiling fan they send you a black remote ?????? I want a white one. Also why is not the ceiling molding included in this ?Otherwise it works great !!!!!!

First attraction: The design, Second: Minimal noise, and Third: The light is bright. I first wondered the same thing as other reviewer why the light is not bright enough, but took me a couple hours to google for way to adjust the brightness, I'm stumbled on a reviewer who found the solution by press and hold the light button, it will change the level of brightness. So, manufacturer please include a full and clear instruction to operate this fan. Overall it function well so far. will have to see how long it'll last.

Remote is very hard to use. Hold the light button, but not for too long, or it will not turn the light on. And not too soon after you turn the main power switch on, because apparently the remote is still trying to figure out what its job is and will just give up and not respond after this. Very frustrating. The light is very dim even on high, and you don't really know what high is, until it gets dimmer, so you start over and repeat the cycle. I was going to overlook all of these issues until I woke up to to find the fan had locked up and was humming very loudly. You know the sound a motor makes when it is bound up and it gets really hot, that sound. Of course 2 days beyond the return window, around 10 days after put into use.

The fan is quiet enough to watch TV while it's going and creates a nice breeze. The light works well and can be dimmed which is helpful

The fan is impressive, and as a Mechanical Engineeer wants to provide my version on the pros and cons.The pros:- The reliable, highly respected by customers, the HUNTER brand;- Low profile, modern and sleek design by the US engineers (pros), but manufactured in China (cons);- Price is attractive (I bought by promotion, the Amazon adjusted all my three purshased fans to the promotion price), the competitors are more expensive;- Reversible rotation by pressing the button (more than 3s on fan logo) on the remote control;- Reversible blades. One colour from the one side of the blades and another colour (depends on model) from the backside of blades;- Three speeds, easily changeable by the remote control;- The remote control isn't bulky and have the right small size;- The beep option (can be swithched off) can be helpful for seniors to confirm switch off/on fan/light, reduce&increase speeds/reverse rotation etc.;- The LED lamp is amazing, it was designed specifically by the Hunter engineers. As a result it's a high quality, fits very well, and it's dimmable. But in the case of replacement, you have to buy/find from the Hunter company (cons);- The light/fan can be switched on/off from your wall switch/or your remote control;- Th fan is silent, no any noise at third speed;- Easy installation, easy manual (as per my point of view).The cons:- The packing is the biggest issue. during the shipping the rotation drum/electric motor wasn't properly fixed/packed. As a result of shaking unproper shippment, the rotation drum/electric motor are getting missligned (I think bearing missalignment). Many customers are considering mistakenly this particular issue as a wobbling (it a cause of the main issue). The balance kit can't fix this problem and it can be dangerous due a motor overheating, increasing wobbling effect and potential crush, fire etc. Also, I believe the extra inspection in the Chinese factory is required to check a proper allignment/rotations before the shipments;- Three speeds are very good, but I want to see the same model with more speeds;- As I mentioned, this fan is manufactured in China, and my recomendations to check everything very carefully before installation;- In the case of LED lamp malfunction/replacement, you have to buy it from the Hunter Company.So, overall my rating on this fan is 4.7-4.8 out of 5. Recommend it.

Es bonito, pero lo que no me gustó es el tono de la luz, lo compré para un pequeño studio/oficina, en la descripción no especifica el tono de la luz, pensé que era luz blanca, pero no, es cálida y no tiene forma de como cambiarlo y no hay forma de como reemplazar las luces LED que trae incorporadas, si acaba el periodo de vida de las luces no habrá repuesto, al menos no en mi país, el control tiene un retraso en el mando y no es fácil ajustar la intensidad de la luz o el velocidad.

The media could not be loaded.  I honestly don’t know what everyone is on about. Folks saying the light is to bright / dim, or the remote beeps, or that it’s to noisy, or that it wobbles… the instructions explain how to adjust / correct all of these issues with the remote. That said, it did take a while to sort out the balancing and it still has a sight shimmy at the highest fan speed but it’s barely noticeable. And yeah, the remote needs to be reasonably close to the fan for it to work. Anything more than 8 feet away and it doesn’t work. But it’s a fan meant for a small space so the remote makes complete sense. And for the person that rate 1 star because “it’s heavy”, are you kidding me? Of course it’s heavy.It’s a great fan. Elegant styling, easy to install, and simple to use. Highly recommend. In fact, I might buy another one for a 2nd small bedroom. I tried to show the light dimming using the remote but it doesn’t come through very well in the video. Let me assure you, the remote works perfectly.After installation there can be a slight smell of burning plastic and the motor housing becomes warm to the touch. I spoke with Hunter customer service and they assured me the smell will dissipate and that the warmth is normal for an AC motor. That’s good enough for me!!

The media could not be loaded.  Just installed the fan and it's quit nice. It's in my son's room and it's a good size fan for the size of hos room. It has a dimmer, which has no mention of this on box or in instructions, but we leave the light on high. Just hold the "light" button down on the remote to adjust brightness. Also to turn the direction of blades hold the fan button down. Now of thos is in the instructions. The actual light that the light gives off isn't my favorite. Specially when its all the way dimmed down, that the reason for 4 stars, but it's alright. Overall I would recommend this fan/light.
