Synopsis A blonde Latvian girl named Agnese, as young and as beautiful as a 'Shaven Venus' travels through Italy. She's accompanied on her sexy trip by cult photographer Ralf Vulis' camera, which takes photos of her in front of the landmarks of Venice and Rome. The duo bubbles and sparkles their way through public spaces, which Agnese and Vulis unashamedly exploit as their stage set. Vulis artfully weds exhibitionism and voyeurism to create an intimate game that's full of exciting possibilities -- and another new highlight for all Vulis' fans!

Disappointing, for Vulis
I guess I should have known better than to buy a photobook with the word 'shaven' in the title!Ralph Vulis's books generally portray a variety of happy-go-lucky girls in a state of carefree nudity, doing everyday things in public - riding on the bus, playing sports, you name it. This book has a somewhat different tone. For a start, it's all one model. Agnese is beautiful in a Playmate sense, but not the 'pretty-girl-next-door' that we've seen in other Vulis books. As the subtitle of the books tells us, these photos were not shot in Lithuania, but in Italy - specifically in Rome and Venice, with several shots showing landmarks such as the Grand Palace of the Doge of Venice, the Colosseum, and the famous Canals. Perhaps the Italians are less tolerant of public nudity than the Lithuanians - certainly the shots have none of that carefree, open joie-de-vivre. Rather, a lot of them are clothed; and most of the nudity is a 'peekaboo' variety - an upskirt shot or a quick flash of a breast. Some slightly more explicit shots have been taken indoors in a studio, and are generally no better than anything you might pick off the internet. There are a few beautiful pictures; but there is also a lot of repetition (particularly along the canals of Venice).Overall, a disappointment. Fans of Vulis will probably not like this book; and those that haven't seen his work before would be better off buying 'Sexy Sports', 'Crazy Sexy Girls' or some other book of his.
