UPDATED:Amazon resolved the confusion over the brace and I have faith in them again
UPDATE: I did resolve the issue with Amazon and my surgeon ended up ordering me this brace for me and it was sold by the manufacturer and will hopefully be covered by my insurance company. I did get the next size up and now the hinges actually work (they couldn’t work with the brace from Amazon being too small). I don’t know how well this brace works for other issues, but the issue causing my pain is patellar maltracking which has developed over the years into arthritis. I first began having knee pain in 2016, I guess. I would think it would help with anything requiring kneecap support. It is the only brace that is able to give me pain relief and fits my kneecap. The biggest issue I see is that the size chart is not the same as on the manufacturer’s website. The manufacturer advised me to order one from them but they are more expensive. They then said to at least use their size chart if I order from Amazon. I will likely order from somewhere else altogether as Amazon seems to be telling me they are giving me a refund and it is not appearing. There was some confusion on my part about whether or not it fit after they initially refunded my money when it didn’t seem to fit and hurt as part of it digs into my knee. So I then tried using the sleeve and it helped with the pain from the brace so I thought since it was supporting my kneecap it fit me. I actually asked Amazon to charge me again as I didn’t want to use the brace after getting a refund being that it is so expensive. But I realized that the hinges need to be on the sides of my knee and instead they are just beside the kneecap and my legs are wider than a medium/large, so the hinges are not on the side of my knee. I then asked for the money back again and now I guess Amazon thinks I am changing my mind too much and I think the real issue is that they need to have the correct sizing information in the pictures. I would not recommend anyone buy this unless they check the manufacturer’s website first.

Mosh Pit with a Torn Meniscus!
This brace is amazing, so much stabilization. Totally makes it possible for me to be active with a torn meniscus. Very easy to adjust to fit well and my knee joint is super supported. The on/off process is way better than the neoprene thing the doctor gave me. I survived a mosh pit with this thing aftera day of hiking and then ran around at the beach the next day— I would not have believed this was possible before. With this thing I feel like I can be active again without falling over in pain. I did have to put cushioned tape on one corner bc it was signing into my thigh a bit. This is prob bc I have heavier thighs than the athletes it was designed for. Minor addition fixed it though. Really thankful for this brace!

Very uncomfortable
I ordered this brace after having meniscus surgery on my knee 5 months ago. I was hoping it would provide support for me while trying to get back into activities like hiking, biking, and skiing. I measured my leg according to the instructions and ordered a size large. After the brace arrived, I tried it on with the compression sleeve. It was so tight that I could not wear it. I tried the brace without the sleeve and it fit ok. It has to be strapped on tight to work properly, which makes it less comfortable. I decided to try it on a mountain bike ride. I strapped it on and loaded my bike into my truck for a 15 minute drive to the trails. My leg was in pain by the time I arrived due to the brace. I rode around for about 2 minutes and the brace was very uncomfortable and did not perform as I was hoping. I took it off I think the problem is on the design. It seems like once the knee is flexed, it stretches the plastic until the knee is in the straight position. This does not allow partial flexion, which renders it useless for me and what I wanted to use it for. I ended up finding a better one made by 3m at my local cvs. I have worn it skiing multiple times and often forget it is there as it provides the support I want. I do not recommend this brace because in my opinion it is so uncomfortable that I do not want to wear it.

Relieves Pain caused from Patella Tracking Issues. Velcro strap wears quickly.
I play for a semi-pro ultimate frisbee team. On a typical week I'll play 15+ hours. I was recently diagnosed to have patella tracking issues in both of my knees. I already had a brace for my right knee and needed one for my left. This was much cheaper than the type I already had so I ordered this instead. The brace does its job and keeps my knee aligned while running, sprinting, jumping, lunging, etc. I like wearing the sleeve underneath as it reduced discomfort caused by the rubber material chaffing the skin. The webbing is pretty rugged. I put it through a lot, including landing/sliding on it frequently. The biggest down side of this brace is the velcro strap. I've had this brace for about 3 months and the strap is already showing significant signs of wear. The velcro does not stick very well anymore and the material has stretch out enough that its tough to keep it tight. Functionally the brace would work well again if this part was replaced, however, I can't find a way to buy just the strap. For the price it is a little disappointing that the strap is failing, but I have put it through a lot. The brace still works and I still use it but I have to readjust it every 15 minutes. The bottom line is, I like the brace enough that I would consider buying is again. The wear in the strap is annoying but I haven't had knee pain associated with patella tracking since I started using it.

Relief right outta the box
Relief right outta the box! I have been through 4 braces in one week, and none have offered any relief until this hot-pink beauty arrived at my door. I have been hobbling, using a scooter to grocery shop, and having to sit way more than I can afford to with my busy life. I sent my family a pic that says “a Christmas miracle! I can walk again AND it matches my outfit!” I appear to have a meniscus tear, which has been worsening. As a therapist, I do quite a bit of lifting on patients, which has compounded the injury. If you think you have a meniscus tear: 1) get this brace, 2) stay off your feet as much as possible to prevent further damage, 3) ICE it 4) for steps, go UP with the GOOD leg, DOWN with the BAD leg (treat inclines the same) 5) avoid pivoting on that leg 6) elevate when you sleep, or put pillow between legs if you sleep on your side 7) if pain reaches intolerable without pain relief meds, see your doc to get an MRI. If you’re not taking proper care to support healing, you could be worsening the damage to the point you’ll need surgery, so BE proactive! 🫶

Ended up returning the brace...
Purchased this brace after hearing good reviews about it, and intended to use during Cross-Fit style workouts to provide stability for a loose knee joint. First off, the sizing runs small. I measured my leg as directed, and even had my husband double check the measurements, which fell right in the middle of the size range for the large. Once the brace arrived, it was clear an XL would have fit way better. I ended up returning the brace (as opposed to switching to the next size up) because the brace was very supportive across the back of the knee...too much so! The front seemed to keep my joint stable, but the back part of the brace was super stiff. It would have been a fantastic brace for right after my knee surgery when I needed help walking, but would have been far too stiff for my workouts (bodyweight movements, weight lifting, running, etc) which is what I had originally purchased this for. Really sad this didn't work for me, because it seems well designed. If you purchase this brace, be aware of the sizing and go the next one up!

Brace
I shredded my knee a year ago and it is continuing to heal. I’m not sure it will ever heal completely. I ripped the kneecap right off sideways and everything that was holding it was torn. The knee literally went backwards 4 inches. That is the wrong direction to be going backwards! An orthopedic surgeon gave me this brace and it has been by far the best brace I’ve used. Due to the very high price, I have attempted to use at least 20 different styles of braces since. That has been a huge waste of time and money. And in the end, I lost my original brace on a trip. And I’ve ended up ordering two more of these $80 braces. The price is absolutely ridiculous and I feel taken advantage of by the price. But I love these braces. They make me feel more stable than any other others. I highly recommend this lightweight brace. It keeps my kneecap in the spot where it needs to be, and the height of the brace makes my leg feel much more stable. When my knee was at its worst in the beginning this was not nearly enough support by itself. I think I was on crutches for about nine months. The brace rolls up compactly for storage or travel. I washed this in the washing machine all of the time and hang it to dry.

CHANGED MY LIFE!!! PLEASE BUY THIS!!!!
WORTH THE READ ***KNEE DISLOCATIONS have to write this review solely on the fact that THIS KNEE BRACE CHANGED MY LIFE. I have had at least 6 dislocations of my left knee and probably 20 subluxations. I did competitive cheerleading and dance my entire life - and never gave my knee time to heal after each dislocation. (Wasn’t allowed to even if I tried.. ) because of this I have irreversible damage. After several different orthos looked at my knee the final say was that I need complete knee reconstruction surgery. That’s not an option at this point in my life- I have 2 toddlers to chase around and take care of being a stay at home mom and was told it is up to an 18 month recovery time before I have full use of my knee. My knee problems were honestly causing depression.. I couldn’t even chase my kids at the playground to play with them.. I would be hobbling behind my husband.. I tried every knee brace on the market.. I stumbled across this one and figured I had nothing else to lose. Not only do I have constant knee pain- but I also have ptsd and the flash backs of some traumatic knee injuries were debilitating on some what of a normal basis. When I first put this knee brace it freaked me out a bit.. I don’t like anything hugging my knee cap and your knee cap literally is snug in this little rubber web.. after a few minutes of walking around.. I actually started to sob.. happy tears. That might sound funny to some people but I have lived the past 26 years of my 30 years on earth walking on egg shells and the past 4.5 years of my life.. playing with my children with caution. THIS KNEE BRACE IS LIFE CHANGING. NOT ONLY CAN I RUN AND PLAY WITH MY CHILDREN BUT I HAVE NO PAIN WHILE WEARING IT!! PLEASE GIVE THIS A SHOT

Supportive knee brace, not too bulky - works well if sized and fitted correctly
We have used this knee brace brace extensively in the past, and this purchase is for the second knee, which now is also getting old! This item was delayed by some weeks, but the vendor contacted us to explain that their supplier was out of stock, so at least we were kept informed.
