The book is great and the translator delivered a very interesting work
Beautiful, inexpensive book. It is well printed with a comfortable size of letters, illustrations, and the book as well. The translation itself is very competent, correct, and interesting. The translator uses several resources, including some harmless interpretation, in order to convey the messages. I particularly liked how the translator coined expressions to refer to certain “modern” things such as airplanes and engine. Sure, Neo-Latin words have been around for some time but I appreciate the translator’s efforts to take one or two steps back and coin “purer” or more classical expressions for these objects. Overall it is an easy and very pleasant read.

Delightful
The story has long been one of my favourites and when I found it in Latin I was delighted. Reading this was a pleasant trip down memory lane and having it in Latin not only gave it a new feel but also enabled me to discover some new aspects of the story. The language is straight forward and easy to understand. A great way to practice your language skills if you are past the second year of Latin. If you are looking for something else with a similar level of difficulty you may like Historia Apollonii Regis Tyri (Latin Edition), if you are ready for something harder and more adventurous I can recommend Insula Thesauraria (Latin Edition) and Pericla Navarchi Magonis (Latin Edition).See my 'Latin Reading List' and 'Best Latin Books for Kids and Teens'.

unique translation
How unique and fun to see The Little Prince in Latin. My son is taking AP Latin and could hardly believe we found a modern book in Latin! He's already read part of it. Apparently, Regulus technically means Little King.

Regulus, the perfect gift for the world
A most handsome volume -- clear print worthy of the elegant Latin; bright, colored pictures enhanced by the glossy pages. It sits well in the hand and delights the eye, while nourishing both mind and heart with its message and its style.

La Petit Prince Latin version
I am learning Latin. As I have read the La Petite Prince (in French) I thought I would be able to read Regulus. At present it is harder than I expected so I must keep on trying.I find iit interesting to know the Latin version of the foxes' secret: animo tantrum bene cernimus. Quad plurimi sunt, oculis cerni non possunt. My knowledge of Latin is very limited and I am not competent to review this book. All I can say is that the so far as I have read the translation is close to the original and the pictures are as good as I any I have seen elsewhere.I am already familiar with the story so what is interesting to me is the Latin structure. The chapters are short so the book lends itself well to my kind of study.I have a similar interest reading well known Biblical passages in the Vulgate.

Purchased as a gift. Arrived nicely packaged. The print is clean and crisp and I always find that an important advantage in any book.

A great read.
This is a classic. The princes' pure heart appeals to reads in any language. With the background knowledge of the story (familiar to many people) the barrier many people face when trying to read something extensive in Latin can be overcome. Give it a try.
