I have no idea. I use mine with a Roku stick. The product page lists Xbox 360, so maybe.

these don't seem to work when I connect normal hdmi cables to them to add extra lenghth.

Where are you plugging it into? If it's for something like a Fire TV Stick, plug the extension into your TV, then the Fire Stick into the other end of the same extension cable, then use the cable that came with the Stick to go to the wall adapter (or surge suppressor). So, beginning at the TV, it should be Extension cable, Fire Stick, Fire Stick's cable, Fire Stick's adapter, and finally either the wall outlet or surge suppressor (make sure the suppressor is also plugged into the wall). Keep in mind that the longer the extension, the more decay in the transmission/signal. If it's too long, that might result in it not working at all. They recommend no longer than 10 feet with (I believe) a wire gauge (AWG) of no less than 16. The higher the number the better. Good luck.

Does this support 4k at 60hz and 1080p at 60 to 144hz?

It did for me. My provider is Comcast, I have had zero issues, delays or buffering.
