Plantronics M165 Marque 2 Ultralight Wireless Bluetooth Headset - Compatible with iPhone, Android, and Other Leading Smartphones - Black (Renewed)

This is the second one of these I have bought, both refurbished. I lost the first one because I tend to do that sometimes. I never had any problems with the first one, and this one has so far worked just as well. It pairs quickly and easily to my OnePlus One, my Galaxy s4, and my iphone 5s. The multipoint works great so I can use it with two phones at once. It sounds great on my end and everyone I have asked says it is crystal clear on their end as well. The "answer or ignore" feature is spotty, but I won't complain as I am not too lazy to raise my hand to my ear and push the little button to answer a call. All in all, I definitely recommend this product and will buy it again when I lose this one.

The sound quality is great. Setup was a breeze. It is pretty small though. I had it in my pocket and it actually broke into 2 pieces. I was able to jam it back together and it still works, so I guess that is a plus. Battery life and range are both good.Update 12/03: I am upgrading this to 5 Stars. As I mentioned, it is pretty small and of course I lost it. I ordered another one from a different manufacturer and had it for a few weeks and found this one (minus a star for being so small and easy to lose). 2 weeks ago I lost the other one that I had purchased and started using this one again. Sure enough, after about 4 days I lost this one again(minus another star). I reordered another one from the other manufacturer and have been using it. Once again, this one re-appeared tonight. This time in the dryer, after it had been thoroughly dried after going through the washer. I plugged it in, it charged, it still works and now I'm using it again(plus 2 stars).I don't know what others are getting, but this one has been broken into 2 pieces, run through the washer and dryer and still works.....now if I can manage to keep track of it and not lose it anymore that would be just perfect!

This is my favorite hands free divice to date. There are some areas where minor improvements could be made, but I've had several different Bluetooths over the years and this one meets all of my needs and some of my wants.I bought this particular device as a replacement for my white one which, after 3 years and one trip through wash machine (oops!) , was finally wearing out.This device is refurbished. Which, is fine with me. It works like new so far. I've had if for 2 months and haven't had and issues.What you can expect in the package:The hand-free device1 micro USB charger1 ear hook thing3 silicone ear cousinsThe M165 has some practice features that I appreciate very much!- VISUAL BATTERY STATUS IS DISPLAYED ON THE STATUS BAR OF YOUR PHONE. I love this feature for quick reference.-AUDIO STATUS OF THE THE M165 WHEN ITS POWERED ON. When you turn it on, a pleasant female voice informs you that the power is on, the Battery level in terms of "talk time," and the connectivity status (including which devise/devices it's connected to.That sounds something like..."Power on. Talk time: 7 hours. Phone 1 connected, phone 2 connected"My other Planteonics Bluetooth - an earlier model, I believe- only gives me the battery status as "high, medium, or low" I find that I really like having the approximate number of hours left announced when I power it on.When the battery is low (about 1-2 hours talk time left) the voice announces "battery low" or "recharge headset" about 30min before its shuts down.-ANSWER OR IGNORE CALL WITH VOICE COMMAND. I find this feature doesn't work well. It's hit or miss. Sometime I say "answer" but the call isn't picked up other times it works fine. This could be improved. When it works, it's nice to be able to answer a call without my hands when I'm changing a diaper or doing dishes.-YOU CAN LISTEN TO MUSIC AND OTHER AUDIO. The M165 Marque works for all sound that plays through your phone including music, audio books, games etc... That means this hands free device is compatible with your Bluetooth capable devices; tablets, MP3 players etc...I like to listen to audio books or talk radio while I do chores around the house. It makes the work much less tedious. But, I have young children and I don't always want them to hear what I'm listening to or be distracted from their homework, so I plug in. The ear buds/pods are not a good option because the cord gets in my way and I don't always have a pocket for my phone. So I use my hands free to listen while I work. I can even hear my audio over the vacuum cleaner.-YOU CAN CONNECT TO UP TO 2 DEVICES AT A TIME. So if you have 2 mobile phones, it can connect to both simultaneously and accept calls from both devices. Of course, it can only accept a phone call from one phone at a time. If you have a work phone and a personal phone and you only want 1 hands-free, this one is perfect for you.- THIS HAS A DESCENT RANGE. I know that a lot of this also depends on your phone. I had an iPhone 5s and I now have an iPhone 6. Using the same Bluetooth devise, I find that my range and tolerance is grater with the 6 than it was with the 5s. So I'm not going to dwell on this as it's subjective. With my iPhone 6 I can walk from one room to another w/in the specified 30ft range and notice no deterioration in sound quality. With my 5s, I had to carry it with me. For phone calls, the range tolerance seems to be greater than it is with other audio. I find that interesting, but notable.- THE ACCESSORIES. (See photo) it is difficult to take photo of clear silicone, but you can make it out. The ear cushions have little tabs on the inside that lock into place on the ear piece. This prevents the silicone piece from spinning or rotating on its own while in use. The loop at the top helps hold the Bluetooth device steady in your ear so the the device will remain in place. It's fairly comfortable but after a couple hours of wear i start to develop sore spots at the 2 contact points where that gentile pressure is applied. On long road trips I find that switching from one ear to the other helps prevent this.The ear loop, which hooks behind your ear is optional with this model, however, I prefer to wear it as an added measure of security. I worry that my Bluetooth will get knocked off of ear, and this will prevent it from falling. The loop is relatively comfortable. It snaps on easily so you can easily switch it to work for the other ear.Room for improvement - voice answer could be more reliable and the ear cushions could be more comfortable.Overall, this is a really great value!

We like these so much we bought several. Great price performer and nice and small. I like that I don't need to use the thing around the ear. Also very clear and noise cancelling. lightweight.

After using this one for a month I finally got rid of it. I suspect these are fakes. I have bought 3 plantronics m165 headsets in the last three years. And I love them. They are my favorite Bluetooth heads set because of clarity and talk time. But when I bought this one it just didn't sound like a plantronics: first of all the built in voice has an English accent (different than all the others), the head set would disconnect and reconnect over and over again during a conversation causing me to have to repeat myself several time per conversation, the quality of sound was mediocre. I bought the plantronics m180 and there it's was again... great quality and sound that I expected. I don't know what's going on with these but I'm not sure I got a true plantronics when I bought from this vendor

Worked okay for a year, then crapped out.

This earpiece is exactly what I needed. I'm not a huge fan of over-ear earpieces and even though this one has that included, it's removable and is not too bad to wear too. It's extremely lightweight and the battery lasts for quite a long time. It came with three different sizes of ear inserts and two over the ear attachments.The range is good enough to leave your phone and be walking around doing things as you're chatting away. The voice quality is great both in the earpiece and through the microphone.I got this because I have a bit of a commute between work and home and drive a soft top Jeep; no one that I've talked to has complained about not being able to hear me because of the wind noise or anything. That's a win in my book!
