I have these in the hallways, in the entry ways, outside at the front and back door and the garage. For me, the top 3 pros for these bulbs are: 1. Price. Two of these bulbs are the same price as half of full colour bulb. 2. Fully-functional with Hue hub and Alexa. 3. Functions more like a regular light. If you NEED the light on without an app or Alexa, you can flip the switch off and on and the light bulbs will turn on.) These bulbs are great value as they provide more functionality than a standard bulb but without additional accessories. The dimming ability is amazing and I use it more than I thought I would.

Love these bulbs as hue does a great job with their tech. I’ve bought sev different less expensive brands that end up needing to be messed with, lose WiFi or need to be reset when updates come out, these stay connected the best. Definitely recommend investing into the bridge which connects all your hue light together, and keeps the smart bulbs connected even if you have dips in your WiFi strength.

I have a number of lights in my house that dont work with the light switches on the wall, so I have to climb up and unscrew/screw the bulb everytime I wanted lights. These bulbs are amazing. They worked immediately with my alexa app, set up perfect, they are dimmable and are very soft to very bright. The ability to change the brightness helps when I have migraines and this will be great! I have had these for two days and I am going to order more. They say they are energy efficient and I plan to set my entire home up with them! They make a difficult situation easy! I can also turn them off thru the app so I dont even have to be home to turn the lights on or off!! EDIT: these seem to be disconnecting often. I am beginning to get aggrivated bc sometimes they work and other times they have to be reset. I still love them just wish they would work consistently.

I tried other bulbs due to lower prices but I always had issues with either the bulbs hardware breaking or the app disconnecting/issues. Phillips hue bulbs ALWAYS work. I have some super old ones and they are still going strong. I never have to mess around with the app like I did with Sylvanias. The Sylvania bulbs (which I thought were a bargain) have been back in the box on a shelf for a year. WHen they would lose connection, they flashed colors. It was like a disco I couldn't turn off! Lol...pay the bit extra for the Hue bulbs...they're well worth it.

Other advantages include - Electrical bills are under control utilizing this system. Alexa integration after setting the Hue bulbs up in Hue is a breeze. Discover the device in Alexa and set to the room we’ve created. Simply telling Alexa to dim the lights or switch on/off with voice commands is second nature after a short period. The bulbs connect to a bridge and Hue bulbs are low voltage and use less bandwidth of WIFI freeing up bandwidth for other products. Hue controls, moreover dimmers, and the scenes that can be set up make a very pleasant smart home. It’s truly a pleasure to have slowly built up the system over the years. We used switch covers over the light switch Hue dimmers replaced. Absolutely look forward to acquiring Hue PIR devices in the future.

The lightbulb itself works incredible with perfect brightness and coloring as expected from Phillips, it looks very modern and sleek & it has lasted me for years! I recommend this set to anyone. perfect integration with Alexa devices as well, I'd definitely get the colored variants of this bulb whenever possible.
