This book is organized very well. So far, many things I have read in this book has made a lightbulb go off in my head. "Oh THAT's why they do that!". If I had looked at this book before I had some experience with blender I might have found it hard to follow. There is no substitute for hands on learning and gaining muscle memory through sheer repetition, however if you follow this book in conjunction with physical familiarity with the program, what he is saying becomes more intuitive. I don't find this book boring at all. It is well thought out, comprehensive, and accessible. I'm glad I found it. Review: Must have Blender book. - This is a must have book for Blender. The explanations are good and there is a lot of information in this book. The one thing that would benefit it is more examples. Some topics are not covered at all, but this is the nature of Blender. There is just too much to cover in one book. I wish the author would have written a follow up book. Also, this book was written for Blender 2.8, so it is showing its age in that respect but it's not a huge problem.

Must have Blender book.
This is a must have book for Blender. The explanations are good and there is a lot of information in this book. The one thing that would benefit it is more examples. If some pictures are in better quality this book would get 5 stars
Some illustrations, being monochromatic (grey and white), are useless. Book about application dealing with shades, colors, textures would benefit from having at least some of its graphics presented in colors. Otherwise the book is really good.

Can't Go Wrong With A For Dummies Book
I am learning Blender in order to create items for my 3D printer and for my CNC machine. Blender for Dummies has helped me learn to create and edit projects for both of these machines.

Covers blender's many hotkeys and features very well. But is 2.8 I think.
I am using 2.9x, but got this just for the coverage of 2.8. He does a thorough job of covering all the features and hotkeys and with a little experimentation is a perfect companion even if you are using 2.9x. There is NO comparable book for 2.9x. :-|

Too Dummy to use Dummies
Blender is not something that is easily learned in a book. It gives a lot of head knowledge, when what Blender students need is hands on. Also, this book covers Blender 2.8 when my version is 3.2. Much has changed. Better to go to the learning videos and follow with them, however, I keep my book around for references.

I found this very helpful
I'm not sure why some are complaining. I've never worked in Blender, but I found this book, coupled with some video tutorials, to be extremely helpful to me in learning the program. The short cut lists are especially useful, and the enthusiasm about the Blender community is great.

I'm transferring from using 3dsmax to blender and this book is just great at explaining how blender works and a clear expalination of the often daunting keystrokes - it's now just for me to remember them.......

I had purchased the two previous editions from the same author and was pleasantly surprised to see how well it keeps up with the latest changes made to Blender. I have quite a few books on Blender and this one is by far the easiest book to help one grasp such a complex piece of software like Blender. In just under 600 pages, Jason manages to cover all the most important tools and explains both the rudiments and more complex concepts in layman's terms, i.e. the when and why you should use a specific tool at any given moment during production. I especially liked the sections covering compositing and animation. This book intertwines perfectly with the official user manual from blender.org.

Provides a great, intensive dive into a complex and dynamic program. The book takes a little bit of the steepness of the learning curve on Blender.
