🌱Gardzen 5-Set Seed Starter Tray Kits Review🌱
Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round and allow me to regale you with the tale of the Gardzen 5-Set Seed Starter Tray Kits. If Ryan Reynolds were to review a seed starter tray, this is exactly how it would go down. First off, let’s talk about the 40-cell tray. Forty cells. That's like having 40 little greenhouses, each with the potential to grow your very own miniature forest. Move over, Johnny Appleseed, there's a new planter in town, and they come with domes and bases. DOMES AND BASES, PEOPLE! These trays are so sturdy that if I were a plant, I’d feel like I’m living in the Ritz-Carlton of soil-based accommodations. With these trays, even your seeds will sprout faster than a Marvel movie marathon. And the domes? Oh, the domes. They’re like little glass ceilings, but ones you can actually break through. They create the perfect climate for your tiny green buddies, making them feel all warm and cozy, like they’re being hugged by Mother Nature herself. 🌞 As for the base, it’s the unsung hero of the gardening world. It’s the Batman to your Robin, the Chewbacca to your Han Solo. It keeps everything together, ensuring no water spills onto your brand new gardening apron. You know the one with the cute little pockets and “I Dig Gardening” slogan? Yeah, that one stays dry, thanks to the base. Planting with these trays is so easy, even Deadpool could do it between wisecracks and fourth-wall breaks. Just fill, plant, cover, and voilà! You’re now a proud parent of 40 plant babies.

Love these starter trays! Worth the money!
Perfect for starting my seedlings! I love the top which can keep in humidity but also can be opened. The drainage doesn't get on my countertops/Shelves. It has plenty of space to start each seed and can hold so many! Perfect height and easily cleaned with a rinse out and also stackable when not in use!

Quality complete package
A complete set that includes the soil, 5 trays with 40 compartments each, a sturdy drainage tray and really cool clear plastic covers that can be adjusted from open to closed to adjust level of moisture. I used less than half the bag to fill all 5 trays. Within two week I had cucumber, carrot, pea and pepper and zinnia sprouts. I would definitely recommend and I’ll be ordering another set for my winter gardening.

Great for seed starting, but a little too flimsy for bottom watering
This year I'm growing Carolina Reapers, ghost peppers, habaneros, Scotch Bonnets, Tabasco peppers, Thai chili peppers, Serrano peppers, jalapeños, and cayenne peppers, along with beefsteak tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, kale, Swiss chard, mustard greens, and a number of other herbs and veggies. Needless to say, that's a lot of seeds and I needed a lot of containers to plant them in. This set of 5 trays with 40 cells each (8x5) was exactly what I needed. The humidity domes are a must for keeping the soil in those small cells from drying out, especially if you're using a heating pad like I am (a must for hot peppers). When put together, they're fairly sturdy, but a word of warning: the bottom tray alone is fairly flimsy when filled with water. This isn't really an ideal setup for bottom watering and I'd look elsewhere if you're planning on doing that. The top tray will simply float on top of the water, and if you try to weigh it down -- well, it's catastrophic. The soil flooded and became completely waterlogged in my case. Maybe it's just user error? Overall a great buy for seed starting. Very easy to use and they look awesome :)

So far, so good! After much online research and comparison I am glad I bought this set!
I just received this set a few days ago and am happy with the quality of the trays, inserts and covers. I can easily pick them up and feel the sturdiness of the product which is nice knowing that I will receive longer life from them than others I have ordered in the past. I opted for the 5 tray set thinking it would be a good quantity to start out with and see how well the set works for my needs. I like that once I have finished with the seedlings that I can easily clean up the set and easily store it one piece on top of the other for safe keeping and saving space. The set up is simple to do by adding water to tray, seed starting medium to the inserts and using the dibber to help punch holes as needed. I bought some brightly multi colored seed "T" labels that fit well inside the trays while the lid is on. In just a few days I noticed I already have a seedling popping out! I am looking forward to trying the widger tool to remove the seedling and transplant it safely once it is big enough. I like the height of the lids and the option of opening or closing the vents to maintain the level of moisture needed. So far, so good! After much online research and comparison I am glad I bought this set!

Best product and super cheap
I never do product reviews. But these are worth it. Super cheap and such great quality. The ones in the stores are so cheap and only last one season. These look like they will last me a lifetime! Definitely buy these instead of others.

One serious design flaw.
First off, the cell tray, underlining tray, and clear canopy are all well made of seemingly durable materials and I'm sure they will last with repeated usage. I can't speak to actual longevity yet, since this is the first season I'm using them. I was happy when I saw, and felt, them and set to work loading two trays. I set them on seed-starting heat mats, with a small grow light, and covered them. everything seemed to work well until condensation built up on the covering. Due to a poor design on the canopy, the condensation does not run back into either tray, but rather rolls down the canopy walls, under the lip on the edge, and all over the heat mats, floor and everywhere else. It is clear that water control was not considered when designing this system. These trays can still function well enough, under certain setups. I will only use them in an outdoor greenhouse where any table/rack, floor and everything else wood be ruined with massive water runoff. I will also need to watch for moisture loss and adjust accordingly. I would not buy this product again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. However, if someone already bought it, they could probably find some way to make it work with some adjustments and specific conditions, so long as that condition is not inside a room on a rack, with other trays on a rack beneath them as well as lighting fixtures or other electrical components, not to mention the little pools of water that will collect on the ground routinely. Further, I will avoid, and would advise others to avoid, products made by this company, considering that they seem to make products that look the part, but have no thoughtful design to how their products function in the real world.

Great value. Will update if they don't last.
I got the 40-cell 5-pack for $17 before tax. I've had them like a week or two, but I'm already a fan. It's a good price for all you get. The only way I see beating this price is if you're buying 6 pack plants from the store anyways, and reuse them in a $2 watering tray from Menards. I enjoy growing food and gardening on a budget. I puncture the bottom of each cell using the included dibber with a twisting motion. This tears them up a little, but the idea is that I will be able to press with a sharpy marker from below to pop out the plants when ready. I haven't had a need for the clear plastic vented domes yet.

Nice tray and dome
Great domes only dislike is the cover isn’t as high as I thought but they will work to get my flowers started and seeds ready for the garden

Lid doesn’t fit
The lid doesn’t fit properly on the tray and it falls off

You get your moneys worth
I would have given five stars but the cell trays aren’t transparent so you can check for root growth.
