Excellent solution for flatscreen TV in an Armoire.
I'm sure many of you have faced the problem of putting a newer flatscreen TV in an armoire that was designed for older CRT TVs. Most will only hold a maximum size of 40" TV and even then, only the ones with a slim bezel. I had planned on adding this pullout with a 40" TV but what I really wanted was to get a 46" TV. So I did some math and figured out that if I removed the armoire doors and used this pullout, I should be able to pull it out just enough to swivel the TV diagonally and then push it back in to store it, i.e., while not in use, store diagonally.Well it does work and I'm really happy although I would not suggest trying this with such a large TV. When this pullout is fully extended, even though it is rated at 110# and the TV only weighs 42# with the stand, all of the weight is at the front of the pullout. Although it's fairly stable I wouldn't want to leave the TV in the fully extended position on a permanent basis. But if you retract/push in the pullout just and inch or two, it is much more stable. If anyone is considering this approach I would not recommend anything bigger than a 42" TV and 40" or smaller would be more stable. Also, the pullout swivel does not come with a shelf so unless you decide to just use the metal plate as the "shelf", you will need to attach one. It's really easy as the metal plate has holes in it. The quality of the pullout swivel is top rate and it's NOT made in China like everything else we buy. It's made in Italy. Also note, no screws came with this product.

Great Solution to a Common Problem !
This is a great little device. I kept waiting for my husband to mount it for me but got tired of waiting and decided to do it myself. It was super easy to install and makes a world of difference when trying to watch the T.V. with guests. I have a very fancy cabinetthat it sits in and the slide out doors were blocking the view. Now it is perfection and it only took a few minutes to install the solutionto the problem. It comes with no screws but I had just the right ones in the tool drawer in the kitchen , and it is not necessary to goto great lengths to add a shelf to the slider plate. The television sits on it just fine and slides in and out with ease. Great Product !

Does the job -- would have appreciated if it came with screws
It's sturdy and holds our TV well hanging a little ways off the shelf it's on. It didn't come with any screws, which was not a big deal but would have been nice.

I used this for a 52" TV to pull out of an armoire and swivel, and is slides out as smooth as silk! It is super sturdy, looks nice, and is so easy to use. Would definitely recommend it.

Perfect solution for a long-standing problem
My wife and I bought an entertainment armoire a number of years ago, to try to prevent my then small children from fussing with the TV and its assorted components. While we've been mostly happy with the armoire, one of the things that's always bugged me about it is the pocket doors, or more specifically, the way they block the TV when viewing at an angle (sitting in my recliner). I had actually searched for a turnkey solution like this for a long time, but didn't stumble upon this until just recently. The rail system is very sturdy, made from steel and glides smoothly. I was worried as to whether bumping it would make it slide too fast and cause the TV to wobble off the stand, but under the weight of the TV (and the plywood platform I attached to the plate), it's just fine. It's designed to be mounted to a horizontal surface, which is exactly what we have (there is a black platform inside the armoire). I used 6 3/4" flat head screws (not included) to mount it to the platform. I then bought a 3/4" thick sheet of hardwood plywood that I trimmed to match the dimensions of the TV's stand (about 22.75 x 18"), sanded and rounded off the edges, then spray-painted satin black with a Krylon primer & paint in one product. I mounted the plywood to the metal plate with 6 5/8" flat head screws (again, not included). The entire project came out beautiful and I can now position the TV in a good position for viewing, as well as easily access the ports at the back if need be.The seller shipped quickly, the unit is very well made/sturdy, and I notice no sagging when it's fully extended. I do intend to put a bit of a lip at the front of the plywood to obscure the rails and give it a bit of a hand-hold to pull it out, but other than that, I couldn't be more pleased.

Could be better
I bought this to extend the distance my flat screen could slide out of a cabinet for easier viewing. The product is a little pricey but sturdy and easy to install. The downside is the tray itself is fairly small. My TV stand is wider than the tray so it feels somewhat unstable when moving it in or out. It serves the purpose but I wish the tray was larger.

Plan your installation
The unit is exactly as described, and we did as many others have done and installed it in an old entertainment unit with doors that were in the way of viewing. We replaced a very heavy 27" CRT TV with a modern 32" flat screen, so could pull it out much farther than the shelf that originally came with our entertainment unit. I read all the reviews, and many were highly helpful. I removed the old shelf, pull-out, and swivel, used the old beautifully-finished shelf atop the new sliding TV mount, fastening the old shelf to the new metal plate from underneath. I checked to ensure I could remove the entire unit for maintenance if necessary, fastened the Samsung TV legs to the shelf with narrow plumbers' strapping, and it works very well. A big thanks to those who took the time to write a review that discussed their installation process. I am an old lady, but could get this done just fine.
