Good quality.
Bought this for my son to use at school. It definitely held up well for a whole year’s use. It was easy for my son to zips. The zipper held up to whole year. The handle on the outside allows for it to be carried if not placed in the backpack.

Best brand to buy!
We have found that the 5star brand lasts longer than the other “off brands.” It does cost more but it will last a whole school year without breaking.

Binder > middle school
Holding up well despite the whirlwind that is my middle schooler. Love all the pockets!

Good enough for 1 year
It lasted 1 school year with a 14 year old. Good enough.

Great binder.
Great organization for middle to high school kids with transitioning classes. Pretty durable even with my rough kids.

Functions terribly.
This is a piece of TRASH! Ease of use is terrible. Functionality is terrible. Very difficult to zip in order to close after it is opened! And also added to that difficulty when attempting to zip and close the opened binder, the lowest (the bottom) ring of the 3 rings, is so near the bottom edge of the paper in the binder and so near to the bottom of the binder, that the paper gets caught and “locked” into the small square metal apparatus at the very end of the zipper. That caught and locked in first page of paper can only be removed by tearing the paper. This binder is going in the trash!

6th grade boy: APPROVED!
My son's school doesn't allow for backpacks throughout the day and he was tired of juggling folders and notebooks plus a pencil pouch. He had a school laptop bag, but it barely fits the laptop. So me, being the "Type A" mom that I am, I ordered this. I was able to label the accordion files for some of the classes that use more bookworm (math), and we were able to use the pencil pouch. The expandable front is also great. He keep his school planner and other folders there and he's able to zip it up and carry it with the handle with ease. His friends parents have requested the link and all purchased one. Highly recommend!

Black and Grey = Black and Purple
I bought this for my son who wanted black and grey, the “grey” lining on the outside is definitely a strong purple hue which at least for my son is a non-starter.
