Likely the last vacuum you'll buy!
I got tired and frustrated with buying household vacuum cleaners that were made of cheap plastic, had mediocre performance and cost upwards of $500-$600. I was back in the market for a vacuum when I took notice of one of these units being used by a janitor in my local Post Office. I watched her vacuum the whole lobby area and was amazed at how much suction it had and how incredibly quiet it was compared to normal household vacuums. I wrote the make and model info down so I could research it upon returning home, and I initially figured it would be far out of reach in regards to cost. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw that it only cost half as much as the cheapo plastic ones in the department stores. I wanted a unit that was effective in handling dog hair, and initially considered one of the Dyson or Shark pet oriented units until I read many negative reviews about them clogging and considered the ridiculous prices. I liked the commercial duty rating and quality materials used in the Nilfisk unit, and based upon my observance of it in action and the fantastic price, I decided to go ahead and order one. We have been using it for a few months now, and I will say, we have absolutely no disappointments with it whatsoever. The long cord is a thoughtful feature and it rolls around the floor effortlessly. The bags are sizeable and last a long time before changing is needed. The hose is very flexible and of much higher quality than the ones you find on normal vacuums. I absolutely recommend this vacuum to anyone looking for a canister style unit and who is fed up with the junk offered in the mainstream household vacuum market. You will not regret it!

Sucks everything in its passage like a dementor!
I love this vacuum! I don't often write reviews, but this one is worth taking the time to write. All those Harry Potter fans out there will understand when I say it sucks up everything in its passage as if it were a dementor! I have long hair, two kids and two cats, and all that can leave hair, fur and so much more. If I'm not careful, my cats will get sucked up! Seriously, this is the best vacuum cleaner I have owned in a long time. I purchased my home about ten years ago and the carpets have seen their fair share of wear and tear, especially on the staircase. A friend in Germany recommended this product to me, and after researching for a long time, I decided to make the investment. It is well worth it. Another friend visiting saw my freshly vacuumed staircase and even commented that it looked like new carpet! Wow! I did have one issue when I purchased the vacuum, and that is that the longer extension was dented in several areas. I called the seller and they sent out a new tube the same day! Great customer service and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I would definitely recommend. What you do need to know is that the vacuum requires bags. They are fairly large, but aren't cheap: close to $27 for ten bags.

Far Better than any 'consumer' brand name vac...
The GD930 is a professional vac. It is heads and shoulders above any consumer vac - it is used by licensed lead & asbestos removal contractors. This is all you need to know. I used a self-powered power head when I needed to use with carpets. I have two of these in my house - and there is NOTHING that does as good a job as this vac. We had other name brand HEPA vacs, and the differences are night & day with airborne fine dust after a vacuum. I too have an old house - and lived in it while doing construction. Just get it and don't stress. It is quiet and is going to last forever. I've had professional house cleaners use my vac from time to time...and guess what, they ditch their dyson, miele, etc vacuums and get this...and they couldn't be happier.

The best canister hepa vac you can get, but overpriced.
Excellent product. It would have received 5 stars but for the excessive pricing. Buyer Beware: if you order Nilfisk you will NOT get it. You will get Euroclean which is the same unit with a different name. However, they ARE identical. Seller must make this clear in their listing.

True HEPA / Obsessed!
Obsessed with this HEPA vacuum. Bought it to small particle our home after mold. Thought I would go back to a regular vacuum cleaner after but literally no way. This thing is so easy to use. Cleans flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Awesome heavy duty vacuum!
I have owned many vacuums and this thing is industrial! Its intended and designed for industrial use, however I have two now, one at my house for our hardwood floors, etc and one at my hair salon. It easily takes care of long hair and also great for pet hair and floor dust! It is lightweight, easy to use and has a small footprint, whcih is handy to store easily in a closet. It never clogs, never gets overwhelmed and has strong suction. I am so happy with vacuum- its way better than any of my other vacuums including: Dyson, kenmores, rhomba, because it doesn’t require maintenance. It can handle just about any job, comes with a few attachments and the Hepa canister is a major plus- no dust anywhere! Highly recommend.

Best vac for your money!
I've been using these vacs for 20yrs, there's simply nothing better! They're bullet proof compared to other vacs, and incredibly versatile, you can put any attachments you want on them and it has the suction to handle it. Just a word of caution...once you use this, all other vacuums become inferior and useless 😁

needed repair after 5 months
I haven't been using the vacuum much. But about a month ago I started using it, and it turned off after a few minutes, and wouldn't start back up. I left it for a while and then tried again, and it did work, but again it cut off after only a few minutes. When I turned it over to wrap the cord around it, I noticed that the bottom was very hot. I took it to be repaired and the person who repaired it said it needed a new thermocouple, which was making it short out. That cost $153.90. I'd also mention that the bag doesn't fit snugly into the vacuum, and also the HEPA filter, which is housed in the lid, doesn't have its own seal / rubber gasket.
