Yes it uses the power adapter from the game cube and plugs directly into the game cube and then just plug the attached video cable in and good to go

It says "Includes A Car Adaptor For Use In Vehicle And Uses Standard Gamecube Adaptor For Home"....so if you had a power pack that had plug and/or cigarette lighter input, it should work fine.

This Is just the screen that attaches to the back of your GameCube so you can play it without a tv. You have to have a GameCube. My kids love it!
