Burts Bees Acne Facial Scrub, 4 OZ

I love this face wash. It’s super lightweight when I’m using it, it barely feels like I’m washing my face, but once I rinse, my skin feels clean and refreshed. It’s gentle but still effective, and it’s really helped me keep my breakouts under control. I also appreciate that the ingredients are more natural. It doesn’t feel harsh or drying, and my skin seems to respond well to it. Definitely one of my go-to products now.

I've been putting off leaving a review for this product because I was thinking it might be too good to be true... but after using this over a week I can already say with absolute certainty this is the best face wash I have used. The main reason being it does not dry my face out like almost all other products I have used and it doesn't leave me with that instantly uncomfortable tightening feeling on my face, which has ALWAYS been the biggest issue for me. I was starting to think I would never escape it. Even with face washes that claimed to be for dry skin, it still made it worse after use. I have acne, scars, sensitive skin, dry skin, big pores, pretty much every big issue you can think of that you can have on your face and have been dealing with it since I was a kid and now I am 27 so I have been through a lot of products. I've kind of given up the idea of a magical product that will completely clear up my skin so I mainly focus on just keeping it clean and not drying it out and this is what is working out best for me right now. Everyone is going to have different needs and expectations but if I still highly recommend trying this if you haven't and have similar issues and needs as me. I know I am going to be continuing to use it as long as it keeps working as well as it has been!

Out of nowhere came a horrendous breakout of acne on my face just recently, being that I had nothing at home and with only little money to spare I immediately bought this online. This is my first time using this scrub. I must say, I absolutely love the smell, it is very soothing, as are many other products by Burt's Bees that I have tried. Initially I was not too fond of the cream itself, seemed a little messy but I gave it a try anyway; it definitely scrubbed away a lot of dead skin and my face began to heal after the first wash, the wonderful smell that I could seriously sniff all day long stuck around for quite some time, it made me feel very calm, clean and healthy. I noticed that my skin was much softer, which rarely happens for me, and my skin started to look much better overall in condition, despite the spots of acne, which is unusual for me to experience in a product. I had several small pimples under my nose / across the top of my lip which began to dry up and flake off after the first use - not "dry up" as in my skin became excessively dry, it is quite the opposite actually - my skin feels very well hydrated yet not at all oily. I have only been using this product for three or four days, once or twice a day and my skin feels so wonderful. After washing I dab just a tiny bit of moisturizing lotion and I am good to go. With how soft this product has made my skin, it makes applying my foundation and concealer much more easily, and as a new day comes I can see more improvement in my skin, which means having to use less make up (no, my makeup did not cause the break out, have been using the same stuff for a long time with zero issues, I think it was caused by heightened stress!). This product seems very promising for me, I may have to buy more if this continues to work as well as it has been. I realize it is perhaps too soon to tell, but never have I ever used a product that has given me these kinds of results. I definitely recommend it.

I like this product burts bees in general is a good brand, the smell is great and feels good to wash ur face with. It’s a good general use for cleansing and gentle exfoliant for ur face. However if u have severe acne I don’t know if this is something u would specifically for bad acne, i don’t suffer with much acne very often but I can imagine if I did I’d go with something else, it may work for you I don’t know so I can’t discredit this product for preventing or decreasing acne but I personally would get something that is more specifically adjusted to acne if that’s the case , other wise this is a good general product to wash ur face with.

I'm the type of person who really enjoys the grit feeling of an exfoliator. Now with sensitive AND combination skin, it's hard for me to find a product that I feel is actually exfoliating without it being to harsh on my skin, and usually the ones that are designed for "sensitive skin" don't feel nor seem like they do much.. This product is absolutely amazing! I am in the second trimester of my first pregnancy and with my hormones all over the place, my acne has been hard to keep under control.... However, after using this product the first time a couple of nights ago, I woke up with smooth, perfectly hydrated and bright skin, and I can feel the grittiness on my skin! I would love to use this product every day, but I know that would hurt more than help and the directions even say 3-4 (or 2-3, I can't remember) days a week.

I do like this. The formula does tingle a little on my sensitive skin. I only use it every four days so that helps me not to have a bad reaction. The exfoliating beads are supposed to be made from jojoba. They feel just like plastic microbeads. The consistency is a thick cream with sparse beads. Overall it's a nice product but I don't feel like it does enough for my skin to justify the cost.

Very creamy and pleasantly scented. The exfoliating beads were larger and much softer than I expected, which is nice because it felt gentle on my skin. The beads don't feel like they are tearing into my skin, unlike apricot scrubs. There was a residue-like feeling after I dried my face but I believe that was the oils in the cream which kept my skin from feeling very dry and tight. I was pleasantly surprised when I did not feel like I needed to moisturize! My skin feels soft, and un-oily. This will be a perfect exfoliate to use with my weekly glycolic acid peel.

This is an excellent scrub! It seems to refine the surface of the skin, but does not over-clean. If you have ever used an exfoliating cleaner (or any cleanser for that matter) that seems to remove every bit of oil from the surface of your skin, you may have noticed that your skin can sometimes pour out extra oil to compensate. Use it enough, and you'll discover that it can make your breakouts worse because your skin is so irritated. Burt's Bees will leave your skin feeling smoother, softer and most definitely not irritated. Give it a try, and I think you will be very satisfied.

It's not the best I've used. I thought maybe because it was Burt's Bees it would be better as most of their products are fantastic but this one is not. The little gel beads that act as the microfoliant are very sticky and stick to your eye brows, hair line and skin. I would recommend trying another brand for this type of skin care.
