Advertised as 2019/20 harvest.  bottle says nov 18??  which is it?

Hi Charlie,  thank you for reaching out! The label in the picture of the bottle is from last year. Any bottle which you order will be from the 2019/20 harvest and labeled accordingly. If you have received a bottle stating 2018, then this is a mistake on our part, but please note the oil is certainly only from the 2019/20 harvest. 2018 has long since been sold out. Why isn't the cooc seal on the bottle's label?

Hi! Thank you for this question. The reason the seal is not on the label is because it changes year to year. Often when seals are on the labels, it will just state Certified by the COOC, without stating WHICH year it was certified. Every year the California Olive Oil Council samples all of that years oils who wish to be certified. So an oil that will be certified in 2019, may not achieve certification in 2020. Grumpy Goats has the same label for every year, however the certification is not guaranteed, and has to be up to date. On any individual bottle of Grumpy Goats that is purchased, the seal you receive  has the certification year on it as well. This is in addition to the harvest date that appears on the back. What’s the acidity level? And what’s the exact harvest and extraction dates?

Thank you for the inquiry. The acidity of the 2019 harvest picual is an excellent level of just .15. You can see the actual report for this years harvest in the fourth image on the listing. The oil is extracted immediately following the harvest of the olives from the trees. The harvest and extraction is a process that takes place every day over the course of several weeks, so the bottles are labeled with the month and year of harvest. In this case November 2019. Since this is in a glass bottle (which is great) how do you ship so it does not break?
