Biscuits not crumbs please

If you've had these British biscuits you know what they are, and these are the real deal. However, they were shipped in an unpadded Amazon plastic bag, and as the biscuits are packaged in a thin cellophane material, crumbling was a bit of an issue, although surprisingly not totally smashed. That would be my only gripe. Otherwise, great with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc.

yummy dark chocolate biscuits.. stores here don't sell this ..these packages come in with biscuits already broken ... so, you see plenty of crumbs once u open up a pkg.

I love Dark Chocolate digestives-they are difficult to locate except ordering from Amazon. BUT most of the digestives or crumbs when I open the package. Not what I expected nor wanted.

Item wasn't fresh, the cookies were old and partially crumbling.

I have purchased this biscuit for decades-from Amazon & local California outlets. Earlier in 2019 I began to correspond with the UK manufacturers. Born & raised in the UK, this biscuit has always been part of my life. NO longer. They swear nothing changed. NOT TRUE. 1) have always kept one pack in airtight container in fridge-so it is CRISP when one bites into it- now is soggy, no crispiness, crumbles- PLUS is so sweet I can't eat 2) Dark chocolate is NOT dark chocolate=it is milk chocolate with added color!!=too sweet. The SAD news is I can give you the LOGIC. Americans love candies, jams etc., far too sweet for the British tooth. As American companies buy British classics they CHANGE the recipes. I KNOW this for sure. When I fly out out LHR, I bring back KIK KAT, McViete DARK chocolate biscuits. When KIT KAT did not taste the way it always had, I called ROWNTREE in Yorkshire re come so sweet...Customer Service gentleman honest enough (I am a Northerner so appreciated it) to tell me that since product bought by US, they have had to change their recipes. I could go into therapy about this whole concept of buying quality food then reducing quality for higher profits. Then why buy quality item & a name?! I thank Amazon for making such a wide range of 'stuff' available to members. Amazon can only take product on good faith. It is up to us, the consumer, to keep these vendors who think fans do not know/care when quality changes. UPDATE REVIEW May 2020. I got onto site today to track Reviews on this product (as I packed up 5 rolls of these biscuits to give away). As I ALWAYS do when checking Reviews I check MOST RECENT reviews first. Bottom line all the 5 star reviews for McVitie dark chocolate go back many years.......I could not find one positive review dated 2020, 2019. 2018, 2017. I still buy my British cereals (via Canada) my British jams etc.

Can’t go wrong with these cookies! They are pretty pricey but they are certainly delicious

These are so much better than all the other chocolate coated oatmeal cookies (eg Christies/Peek Freans, etc). The whole family looks forward to them. Amazon used to carry a larger packet (450 g?), which was a better deal, but these still make an affordable treat. I wish someone would import them to USA or Canada and distribute them on Amazon Prime.

So disappointing. I ordered the clearly described and pictured Dark Chocolate Digestives by McVite and received Dark Chocolate " flavored" Digestives. Too sweet and not the same as I have been enjoying for 40 years. Deceptive advert. Can't return.

Nice cookies but they are chocolate FLAVOUR....not real chocolate! I personally prefer the REAL dark chocolate ones!

Found these cookies very stale and mostly all broken , also not a nice odour like that had been stored in not a good place .

I received it, and im not allowed to return it! They will expire within a month? Why would u send me an item that about to expire! The taste is horrible, buy it from stores, dont waste your money
