Elite Survival Recon-4 Sleeping Bag, Olive Drab

This sleeping bag is worth every penny because it's so light-weight yet it keeps you very warm. The bottom has a water proof type fabric so you won't get soaked. We purchased this for a taller person 6'2'' and it fit him well. It rolls up in the smallest little pack which is impressive. It's great for long hikes and bike rides because it won't weigh you down.

Not good for temperatures under 50 degrees unless you dress heavy, footcup gets smelly and is restrictive, velcro catches on fabric.

Compact and light. Difficult to sleep w/ center zip if used to a side zip and leaving it slightly open for cooling purposes. Just not used to it but it's nice quality and warm. The foot box is a new feature to me and i like it, my feet never get cold any more.

This is an incredible little sleeping bag. It packs up very tight and will keep you very warm down to some pretty considerable temperatures. Keep in mind it will keep you alive down to the rated temperature but you probably won't be happy. If you are nearing -10C you will need more than this bag. In fact, if you're nearing those temperatures you need some sort of active heating system anyway. I would recommend a reflector system and chimney style fire with low front blocks.I use this with a hammock setup. A tip, cut a hole in the bottom and top then sew it so it doesn't unravel, then string the hammock through the bag.

I bought this to strap on the back of my plate carrier vest on the rear. well its too big for that so I mite buy a smaller one and use this one for drill weekends when we go to the field like I did last weekend. there is no water proof system on this thing so with that being said the sleeping system the Marine corps gives us does but it probably 3-3.5 times the size on this thing. I have a thermal pad i Lay down put this thing right over top in a one man sleeping tent and damn was I warm and slept like a rock. everyone was crying in the morning because they were cold all night and some of the Marines slept in a two man tent that closes all the way around extra body heat and wind proof. take it for whats its worth.

It may be small, compact, light weight & green but this product severely lacking in any warmth retention in cold climate areas like Victoria country, -0 degrees nights. As a currently serving military member this fails it's basic primary use! Snugpak is a better option!

I've never had a really nice sleeping bag and this is heads and shoulders above anything I have. Incredibly compact storage and nice compression bag. I'm 6-1" and 300 lbs and fit the bag. Not much room to spare but does exactly what I wanted - a warm night of sleep.
