Extremely Happy With Purchase
Toolbox came packaged nicely. Item as described. No damage to item in transit. Note that top toolbox is shipped within the lower tool storage area of the bottom toolbox. I dented the bottom closure getting it out (it's screwed in so it doesn't move and get damaged...these screws are then used to secure the smaller toolbox to the top of the bottom toolbox), but that's my bad. If you use more care than I did getting the smaller toolbox out, you'll be fine. Very nice looking toolbox, and happy to have a reasonably priced Craftsman toolbox to store my Craftsman tools. The value on this toolbox is very good, considering I have seen this toolbox for twice as much or a lot more elsewhere than from this seller. I own a few small hand tools like a sander and jigsaw, etc, and they fit in the lower part of the toolbox perfectly. So basically, great value. Just slow down and take your time getting the bottom toolbox section out of the lower toolbox area so you don't dent the bottom door like I did.

Exactly What You Paid For.
It is very important that you listen to me when I tell you this. This toolbox is not worth one penny more than you paid for it. It might even be worth tens of dollars less than you paid for it. I am not telling you this because I am unhappy with the toolbox. The toolbox suits my needs, allowing me to distribute tools from a condensed mobile toolbox to a more spread out and better organized drawer system. I was able to do that without spending a ton of money and also without something with the utility or footprint needed by a car mechanic. This product is not super high quality either. It is thin gauge metal that looks very similar to sets that our parents might have had which were built like tanks. This is not that, it is fairly flimsy, takes some effort/creativity in assembly, and exactly what you should expect when buying in this type of product, at this price point. Again, I am not unhappy with this product. I just don't want anyone to think they are getting the deal of the century when they purchase it. You are getting exactly what you paid for, nothing else.

Broken Craftsman Logo, bottom panel is thin and keeps coming off
The assembly of the tool chest was not too difficult. It consisted of putting on the wheels and attaching the smaller chest to the larger chest. There are only two wheels that turn so you have to make sure you put them on correctly or you might tip your toolbox over when trying to move it around. I am disappointed with the quality of the Craftsman tool chest. It is definitely not like when Grandpa used to buy Craftsman toolboxes. This is thin metal. The bottom panel that opens and closes to hide the bottom compartment is thin and it keeps coming off. The Craftsman logo arrived broken and there is no way to reattach it unless I glue it. Since that is just cosmetic, I am not overly concerned about it but a new product should never be sold broken. A small cosmetic defect does not warrant a return but if that bottom panel keeps slipping off, it just might. However, packing up something like this can be a nightmare and I just might keep that panel open. It is something that the buyer should be aware of. Another thing I noticed is that it tips over very, very easily. I do not know if it is because the metal is so lightweight or what. If you open a drawer with heavy tools in it, be careful. Make sure the rest of the cabinet is weighted down to hold the cabinet back. It tipped twice on me so far. I had to put heavy power tools and batteries in the bottom to stop this from happening. That is not what I want to store down there but maybe that is what it is for.

Maybe I was lucky?
I read the reviews only after purchasing this toolbox and was afraid mine would arrive damaged as others have experienced. I watched the tracking until it showed the truck coming up my street and then went outside to wait for it. It was a full sized Amazon freighter that pulled up. Two guys opened the doors and inspected the box before even unloading it. I watched as they carefully communicated and unloaded the box together. They both then noticed me while walking up to the door and gave a friendly hello. I was actually impressed by their level of care. I am in Los Angeles so I would estimate the average level of caring for other peoples things as quite low in this part of the country but these boys did great before they even knew they had eyes on them. I opened up the box and not a single dent, scratch or blemish! Has assembly grease along the drawer guides and bottom door but that was easy to cleanup. It arrived in perfect condition and I am completely satisfied with this purchase. The box itself was easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy. Note: mine was delivered from the Amazon warehouse just north of Los Angeles and only had about 50 miles to travel. I am assuming those who received damaged units had a further delivery distance and likely changed vehicles multiple times.

Buy cheap, Get cheap stuff
Received this thing so passively damaged that the Styrofoam protection inside was obliterated. 2 hours of clean up involved. Made me question my life choices. Top tool box is so crooked from the shipping. Scratched, guides bent, door on bottom unit had to be adjusted due to bend damage and its guide mount was severely tweaked that the door would not slide back properly. Bottom platform damaged due to box installed in it for shipping. Set aside your morning for adjustments and clean up. Not a value buy.

Arrived Damaged
Product arrived damaged, like some tired warehouse worker hit the think with a forklift. Didn't return. Why? Well, it weighs in at 100lbs and I had to heft it down six steps from my porch, fit it into the boot of a small SUV, drive it to my studio...again, more steps, and open it to discover a big dent in the bottom box. No way I was re-boxing, lifting, fitting it back into a vehicle, taking time off of work to assist my girlfriend in getting it out of the boot and into the UPS store, nope. While the damage was more than cosmetic, a couple of good whacks and the damage BECAME cosmetic, or character, as I like to call it. Enough about my experience though... Ultimately, it's a standard Craftsman toolbox, not the best, but you can certainly do worse. It would be impossible for me to remember if this box is any different than the one I owned 30ish years ago, but it's probably not as sturdy as my original. That said, still a decent bang for your buck.
