Nintendo New 3DS Xl - Red [Discontinued] (Renewed)

I have ordered a Refurbished - Excellent: Nintendo New Galaxy 3DS XL.Through Amazon's shipping, I received this beautiful New Galaxy 3ds xl early! The system had everything with it to get started as I was provided with a charger with the system listing I had chosen through CaveGamers, and it did have the stylus. I've thoroughly inspected the New 3ds xl exterior and interior.The exterior barely any cosmetic wear whatsoever! There's not much that could've been concerning. There was maybe one or two surface level scratches on the top and bottom of the case, but you have to go out of your way to notice or feel them. No chips in the paint and I like how the Galaxy shines!As for the inside of the system, it's also in excellent condition. I tried out all of the buttons and they felt snappy as they should. There wasn't any damage or scratches on the screens or other cosmetic damage that I was able to tell.All that I needed to do was let the system charge as it was dead on arrival. I ordered a replacement battery as I know these systems and their batteries are starting to reach their end cycle. The battery currently in the system looked fine but was barely bloating so I'm upgrading with a new regardless. Either way, the new 3ds xl turned on after getting the battery to full. I was welcomed to the setup screen. The screens were working as intended too, with no dead pixels and the 3D with its tracking is reliable.Overall, the system looked like it was barely used! While I used to have the old 3DS in Red as a kid, this feels so far as a great upgrade! I am impressed with what I received and feel this is what I would've expected. I'm going to relive my childhood!

The product had many visual scuffs as well as a loose back plate. One of the screws on the back plate was also stripped making it impossible to access the micro SD card slot on the device. Product also didn't come with a stylus although one of the product images imply it would.

I expected it to come in a box but it didn't. Perhaps I didn't read close enough in the description. However it worked perfectly and I don't have any complaints.

My product came in near perfect condition. Highly recommended

My 3DS XL, oh what a sight,Delivered to me, it's pure delight.The screen is bright, the games are fun,Endless adventures, a world to run.The buttons click, the joy is real,But there's one thing, a small little deal:The right trigger, though it does its job,Feels just a bit tilted, like a slight little bob.Still, I play on without a care,For the 3DS XL is beyond compare!It’s perfect, despite that tiny flaw,In every other way, it has my awe.

October 2024 (Keep reading to see update...)This is my first ever 3DS XL/LL and I am so pleasantly surprised with what I recieved although I did notice a few things that might be notable to others who also plan on buying one. Originally, it was supposed to come in within a week but I ended up recieving it within only 3 days! (This might vary where you live). The 3DS also comes with a standard charger and it was package really neatly covered in bubble wrap within a small box. When I inspected the 3DS I noticed a lot of things especially the back cover which says it's an LL (japanese ver) but when I opened the 3DS up, it wasn't region locked and ran normally like a normal region free 3DS. I also noticed a lot of small dents around the 3DS, the most notable one being the one on the top of the DS where there is a huge visible crack and a hole. There's also smaller dents around the 3DS but they are only really noticable when hit at certain lights since they're quite small. The SD card cover was also slightly more yellowed compared to everything else on the 3DS. These visual effects probably won't even bother me since I plan on adding a case and decorating it but it's important to know/expect that there might be defects or blemishes since it is a renewed game console. Besides that, everything works and it's in great condition!Update: December 2024The touch screen has now given up on me within only 2 months. For something that costed $300, this is disappointing. I've taken care of my 3DS since I first got it. I've never dropped it, played it and stored it in a safe place, even making sure to have a case and screen protectors. Even with the best care, protection, and set up, it still became broken. I have bought another 3DS elsewhere and in comparison, it was more affordable, is lasting me way longer, and looked way nicer with barely no scratches at all. It even came in with its ORIGINAL charger and case. For the second 3DS, I only had to pay $150 which is half the price. Of course there is a solution, to bring it in and have it fixed somewhere or even fix it myself, but a $300 refurbished device that is expected to be in very good conditon, this is disappointing.

I ordered this thinking it was an American system turns out it’s region locked which means I can’t play any game I have for the system I scoured the page before and after arrival and couldn’t find any mention of that. No charger (I have one), no stylus (again I have one), loose hinges not really “excellent” more like fair condition. Oh did I mention that the backplate is loose? I will be returning I understand mistakes can happen but lack of QC makes me wary. Hopefully when I get my refund these guys can redeem themselves as I’ve seen tons of decent reviews for these guys.
